Modern Varmint Rifle Updated Oct 14 2015

That's gorgeous. I would like that option as well. I think it would also attract less attention from "The Man".
You make it yourself?

No I stole two photos off the internet thay are nice with the wood stocks
I am hoping ATRS will let me know how I can put wood stock and handgard on both my MH and MV

Possibly Boyds?
There are a few outfits in the USA offering wood for the California market now that they have enacted some weird laws aimed at AR style rifles.
The only issue I see with wood would be the free floating handguard.

You might want to check out Boyds stocks, they make them for the ar-15's.

It don't look bad with just the but stock and pistal grip but would looks better then with the wood hand gard and a hunting sling

what if you got the free float tube hydro dipped in a wood grain pattern that closely matches the wood furniture?
I like where you are going with that......

Unfortunately Boyd's won't ship their AR15 stocks to Canada, and the beautiful Walnut AR furniture on Brownells is not registered for export either.

Any updates??

Just doing a final inspection of the upper receivers with a fine tooth comb, making sure they are ready for annodizing. Painstaking, but that's how we get the top notch fit and finish. Next up will be the lowers, they're almost all finished being machined, then we go over them, and go over them, and go over them for fit and finish. Barrels and furniture are in production and en route depending on which parts, everything is ramping up pretty quickly now.

We'll have to see how tomorrow goes, but maybe I can get a picture or two of the lowers in production the same way I had the Modern Hunters all lined up.

Fantastic news! I'm good with the wait because of the QC you guys do :) Thanks again!

So...I'm sure it was discussed already and really annoying to you; and I mean no negativity at all, but is the match characteristics of this gun preclude one from using surplus or cheaper rounds like with the MH?

As thing progress with the MV I'm starting to warm up to The idea of 223 still hopping that a upper for big game will be in the works down the road
The MV shood work grait as is on Haida Gwaii deer looking forward to getting mine this fall
I have the MH for moose It will work for now but still hoping for a MV with a 450 bushmaster or sumthing simaler haha

They are both running a match grade stainless steel barrel. Chambered in .223 wylde, so they will fire 5.56 NATO and 223 Remington, but once again we are using a Timney match grade trigger. The potential exists for light primer strikes on military hard primers. I chose my words carefully, because in all probability it will function, but a potential still exists. It still begs the question of why put junk ammo through a top notch gun, and using ammo that doesn't adhere to SAAMI specs will void any warrantys. Too many stories of Norinco blowing up an AR for my liking.

Is it possible to leave the upper and lower untouched (buffed only) and have it done with a clear semi gloss ceracote?

The annodizing is a critical step for surface hardening the aluminum of the upper and lower. Clear annodizing does exist, but it would be very cost prohibitive to annodize one single upper and lower clear. There are cerakote colours that try to imitate raw metal, (think brushed Nickel), we don't normally stock any of these, but they are available on a special order basis for an additional cost and a small wait time.
