Yup, the pro has Novak rear, fiber optic front. The CORE needs higher sights to co-witness. I hope Wolverine sorts it out, it would be a letdown to get stuck with a lemon for your first gun.
I have personally witnessed accuracy issues in a couple M&P Pro pistols. Enough so to turn me off from ever buying one. I thought it was resolved as well but looks like that may not be the case.
The PPQ is a hell of a pistol too. See if Wolverine will give her a swap.
How much experience do you have with striker fired pistols. Going from a single action to a striker fired pistol usually takes a few hundred rounds to get used to. Never a good choice if accuracy is the goal IMHO.
Its usually the shooter. You have to get used to it. I own and shoot pro core. But when I shot my buddy's USP im all over the place.
Yup. There are of course lemons or bad worksmanship among any product, but 9 times out of 10 it is the shooter and not the gun. People who jump from one gun to another, especially from a target style or different action firearm to another, like a duty gun, and instantly expect exactly the same functionality/results, are perhaps expecting too much.
I couldn't agree more most of the time. I've had a few striker fired guns, 3 G17s, 1 G22, M&P vtac, P30l, and a FNS 40l, maybe a few others and never had an issue. I completely agree with changing guns, but after finding the sweet spot on the trigger and especially sand bagging it I never get groups that big unless something's up.
The M&P is not a proven pistol? That seems to be what you are implying.
Take Care
