T2 Garand - Part 1

They sold out at $1700. If they were fixed properly they should still get that. Clearly the market will bear it.

Considering that they are parts guns, with no provenance, they are really only worth the cost of the parts... and that's considerably less than $1700 especially considering most or all of the bolts and barrels are trash now.

But that was for 'genuine' T2 Garands which had been in storage for 50 years (per Marstar's ad). My understanding is that people received something different.

Whoops- R taylor beat me to it.

Epps had the same type of rifles for sale. Built properly, safe to fire and for less $$$. (and no BS stories of long term storage, Italian built, stc.)

Gotta agree with r_taylor...
The 2 things interesting about these were they were suppose to be T2's and they are chambered in .308. Turns out not T2, and not even safe to shoot.
I think the only thing NOT completely bull#### in the description was "NEW TO CANADA". This is the worst attempt at screwing Canadian gun collector's and enthusiasts I've ever seen, and the worst display by J1 to date. Him taking a firm stance on these rifles as being "safe" and the "real deal" still after all this evidence of welded and ground bolts, barrels removable by hand, swallowing no-go gauges, off center bores and improper barrel threading..... it's pretty repulsive to put it mildly.

Marstar should lose their banner and forum privileges for this....makes CGN look bad when a vendor not only misrepresented an item for sale on here to CGN members, but also goes back on their warranty out of spite because those same members that bought these rifles in good faith, did some investigation and found they are not what they were advertised as. Even worse, they were improperly assembled, and rendered unsafe to use by some bubba in Doucheland (Hauck).

Visa told me Marstar is protected by their wording. "May" not "will" pay for return shipping. If they try to screw me on the actual refund then they can help me.

Funny because the owner of this company, said on this site, in bold, that if not happy, he "will" even pay for the shipping...

"We may have to pay for shipping to return the rifle to you, that means we're out of pocket anywhere from $20-50."
Why does this keep popping up, our warranty is clear, if not satisfied or the item is not what you expected, not as described, whatever, we pay the shipping, so what is the issue exactly ?? We are well known to have the best warranty policy in Canada, so what are the issues ??

Let's not tar and feather a whole country, now. Keep the real offender in your sights.

As many people and different sites that have seen and commented on the goings on with Marstar. Who do you think it falls on if nothing is done to the offending vendor on this site. Makes the CGN family look bad if we cannot police ourselves. How can you ban anyone else on this site if Marstar gets away with as flagrant a deceit as this.

I was referring to the 'doucheland' comment.

Hopefully there are some consequences for Marstar's blatant lies. He's gotten away with it before though.

That was just my phone's autocorrect.... Deutschland/Doucheland I guess was too similar lol.
I'm German BTW, tongue in cheek type stuff, don't worry...
