Do You Love Glocks Or Hate Glocks, And Why?

You guys don't like Glocks 'cause you SUCK...you can't shoot a Glock 'cause you aren't trained, you aren't trained 'cause you SUCK. (TDC fix satiated)

I don't hate Glock's and I can shoot them fine, just like I can shoot my TT33 fine, which probably has as bad a trigger as you can get, I just prefer other guns. When Glocks were $600 and pretty much the cheapest decent pistol on the block fine but now they are more expensive than most plastic frame guns and in a lot of cases are worse or at best equivalent to less expensive guns eg. SIG P320 so for me I don't see the point in putting up with the bad points and paying more money for it.

My post was a joke directed toward johNTO (You'd have to have read some of TDC's posts to understand the humor). Me personally, I like them because they're reliable, they're warranty is top shelf (Return spring issue in the Gen4 G17's when first out), and they shoot.
I shoot 1911's better but if I were to ever to have to open carry? G21 all the way. Concealed would have to be something much smaller, but as I don't own any prohibs I don't know if I can control/shoot them. TDC would have you believe that "I suck!"..."train your suck away!" ;)

loll interesting to see that trail of posts, same for me 1911 works best for me but to consider an open carry I would choose a Glock 17...

CZ feels better in my hand, but full size gen4 Glock points more naturally; its like pointing your ringer, it sits nice and low in your hand and when holding one its almost like en extension of my hand. I like the weight of it too it feels very effortless holding it.

Love Glocks. At first the trigger sucks. Then you get used to it. Then after some training you get fast with it. IMO every pistol shooter needs a polymer striker fired gun of some sort. They are the workhorses you always go back too. Everything else is a toy.

Sadly in Canada all handguns are toys so in my world the "advantages" of a polymer frame gun mean nothing. If I could carry maybe a different story but as someone who slepped an SLR all over the place no handgun is heavy so carrying a 2 1/2 lb steel gun or a 1 1/2lb plastic gun just is not significant to me. I own what I like to shoot. Doesn't mean that plastic guns are bad. I will probably pick one up one day just because but I doubt very much that it will be a Glock.

I don't care for them much myself. I acknowledge that they are generally reliable and do what they are intended to do very well.

I also find them without any personality, probably their greatest sin. Someone earlier compared them to Budweiser; I prefer doing so to a Toyota Camry or Honda Accord. My Jeep may require more maintenance but no one grows up dreaming they had a Camry... or a Glock.

I personally hated them for the better part of my time owning handguns but 2 years ago I bought a used G17 for 650.00 and it just clicked. Now I've sold off all my other handguns except my 1911 and now have a G19 as well with prospects of probably buying a G34 if I enjoy trying out IDPA next year and maybe a G26 just for the hell of it.
They fit my hand, mine are dead on accurate, they're simple to use, simple to maintain, reliability is unmatched, mags are cheap, parts are everywhere, the list goes on.
One of my favorite aspects of owning multiple glocks though, they make one that fits any and every situation, and the majority of parts are interchangeable. No longner do I need 8 different holsters.

At the end of the day, use whatever works for you. Glocks don't need a defence, they speak for themselves but if you can run an M&P, a Wilson 1911 or a CZ SP01 better than you can a glock why wouldn't you...

I've owned or shot most every style of pistol or revolver out there in most every caliber. I now only own glocks and 1911's. I love glock for their simplicity and durability. They are my SHTF gun. I have the 17, 22, 21, 20 and the 41. I've had the 19 as well. More than likely I will get a few more. I find they point well and shoot comfortably. I also think they look business like.

Well stated ... esp the CZ part

I used to compete with a glock, didn't like the ergo as it didn't fit my hand etc....but, not a hater. I love my M&P, because it does fit me.
