Pick 3 **centerfire cartridges** to cover NA game

How many times have we done this?

And I can't remember what I put the last time lol.

This time I think I'd go with .22-250 for varmints and the odd deer/antelope
.280rem for most all med/ big game
And since we need 3 maybe a . .28 nosler or 26nosler for the ones that I can't get close too.

Oh what am I thinking? I never shoot game at long range. Both nosler cartridges would be wasted on me.

I'll swap the nosler cartridge out for the 45/70Govt cause life without it sux

.50 BMG - Cause there ain't no such thing as overkill! :50cal:

Okay seriously, I'm kind of newish to guns, but with my limited experience I think I'd go:
.22 LR
.308
.300 WinMag

Many many times. Almost as much as bear defence. :)

Yeah, just like the 300 H&H continued on strong when the 300 WM was introduced.

Oh, wait.....

Laugh2

Gatehouse explain to me where i mentioned the .375H&H being a better cartridge than the .375 Ruger, what i said was.....it is my firm belief that the .375 Ruger in the next 100 years will not surpass the H&H in class prestige or even game harvested , never said the H&H is better........you jumping the gun:)

I think if I did a lot of big game hunting, all over the world, and could have only 1 gun, it would be a 375 H&H, built on an FN action, with battue sights. Yes, there are more modern calibers that surpass it in terms of ballistics, but with 105 years of extremely solid and reliable performance, I don't think anything can match it. You can use it from deer-sized to elephant-sized game, at ranges from point-blank to 400 yards. And you know the ammo wil always be available, whereas the same can't be said for some other 375's.

The 300HH vs 300 WM reference was about how hunters chose the WM over the HH, for a number of different reasons.

In the next 100 years the Ruger will dominate new 375 caliber rifle sales and use.
