The Beretta CX4 Thread

Hello Folks...

Just waiting for my new CX4 to arrive in the mail (Thanks, SFRC!).

Would like to add a vertical grip and the required Beretta bottom rail accessory.

I've been visiting vendor websites but can't nail down anyone that stocks both the rail and genuine Beretta grips.

If you bought one or both lately could you let me know your source?

Thanks in advance,

John

I have been lurking at these for a bit, never saw one up close until yesterday. I was quite impressed with the feel and ergonomics of the 9 mm version and from what I have youboobed, they seem to be a stellar PCC. Hmm, might have to complete the education and get one.

When you say bottom rail you mean the u shaped one that you can attach a fore grip on ? I just picked one up at the same time with the Christmas special and that's supposed to come with it.

Yes....I posted the question before my CX4 arrived.

I was pleasantly surprised to see it came with the accessory.

I was able to cancel the order with Flaherty's as it is a "stock" item.
But I went ahead with the order for the short Beretta fore grip.

For anyone debating whether or not to install the SierraPapa hammer&trigger kit all I can say is do it, you will not regret it. The kit makes the carbine that much more enjoyable to shoot. It's a very easy upgrade to do yourself, one annoying part of the install is getting the trigger spring back in place but that's about it. This rifle just went into the not for sale cabinet for me.

What are the non restricted ones going for these days? It's been on my "buy list" for a while now just few too many projects on the go......

New price?
EE used price?

How did you do it yourself? I thought you had to send it in for SP to do it.

As far as I know the ITAR put a stop to this for us here in Canada. It's pretty basic to pull the trigger housing out. ##### and SierraPapa have the video for reference just in case. After that it's remove and replace the parts. You gotta have patience when you put the trigger spring back in place. The sear clip is used on some carbines, that in itself will guide you if you need it or not. The last step in it all is to adjust the trigger slack take up set screw which is done at the range with live ammo so all ACTS and PROVE apply here.

New price on a few site sponsors when in stock is around $1250.00 but keep an eye as they have so called specials. I lucked out with the Christmas special at SFRC. As for used $1050.00 is the lowest I've seen on the EE. Then you can get up to the $1400.00 area depending what's offered in extras.

Um... the very basics of safe firearms handling...

THE VITAL FOUR ACTS OF FIREARMS SAFETY

Assume every firearm is loaded.
Control the muzzle direction at all times.
Trigger finger must be kept off the trigger and out of the trigger guard.
See that the firearm is unloaded - PROVE it safe.

leads to:

PROVE

Point the firearm in the safest available direction.
Remove all cartridges.
Observe the chamber.
Verify the feeding path.
Examine the bore.
