Picked mine up - I much prefer the x95 to the original Tavor

I like the sleeker design, more vertical grip, and the forend with the hand guards extended a few notches feels pretty close to clamping an AR rail. The mag release is a nice touch, although it's not as well spaced as an AR mag release (finger extends past it naturally).

Sprung mine from Wolverine's compound this morning.

They guys helped me pick out a sling and some Hera mags which actually drop free from this rifle. Hope to sight in in tomorrow, this -16 feels like -23 can step aside for spring anytime now.

Thanks Evan for making this work.

Is that the soft case that it comes with? I wonder if my green x95 will come in a green case?
Damn, I wish it was here, already.
Looks like a decent soft case, none the less.

No, that's is an existing fde bag I have. The stock case for the FDE is your typical rifle bag style with mag pouches on the outside and a flap covering them. Black and OD x95's come with black cases, and FDE comes with tan

I-C,
Thanks for clarifying.
What brand of case is that in your picture.
Looks roomy.

Believe it or not it's an ncstar vism discreet rifle bag - it's nice enough quality! The x95 fits, but you have to wiggle it in. With a shorter/curved buttpad it might drop in easier.

Who has a Tar-21 and an X95? I'm guessing the accuracy between the two is the same, since the rifle is producing 3 MOA with normal 55gr ammo.

It seems black is the least favorite color. I was looking at some dealers and according to what they had in stock, the most popular was green, then FDE and then black.
I choose black because that's what the IDF has when training. When deployed they are probably FDE but I'm not sure.
Every armies or law enforcement pictures I've seen involved black Tavors all the time, they were never colored.

But if you look at a more practical ideology behind it, OD is the way to go in Canada. Even FDE is excellent in Fall.

I feel like people don't want black for the reasons that a) they want to have something different than an ultra common 'black gun' that stands out a little more (or a little less depending on terrain :p )
and b) It's an issued color for military in recent deployments overseas. Some people just like to have what the army has.
I could be wrong, but that's just what I think.

I personally always like black.
I also am just not a fan of green or beige in general. I like red, but red looks bizarre on a gun, like the Canadian red Sub2k. Looks like a toy.
