X95 Non restricted whos getting one ?

How many times do we have to go over this? US has 10x the population than us, whether it's guns, cars, computers, washing machine etc. Everything costs less in the US because they sell way more in volume than us. If you think Canada gets guns at the same price as the US then I want what you are smoking.

Instead of personal insults on what I am smoking it would be worthwhile exercise to ask for a discount. I get US is 10X bigger. I am just telling you, I asked for a discount and I got one. I totally have no problem if you want are fine paying MRSP/MAP. To each their own.

It is you that is out to show how bright you are because you received a discount and the rest were to stupid and paid the MAP. Wonder what the importer will do to the dealer you got your discount from since MAP means they cannot be sold for less.

No MAP does not mean that. MAP stands for minimum Advertised price. It can be sold for whatever price the retailer deems necessary. It's his business decision. Distributor can only stipulate MAP but cannot dictate price an item is actually sold at.

This shows how bright you are. Do you know which dealer i got it from?

You sound sour, looks like you paid MAP and regret it. :)

Map doesn't mean it cant be sold for less, it means it cant be advertised for less. 3 years ago or so I was at the TSE easter sale where they were selling several pistols below MAP, and as such would not list the price in thier flier.

Any one notice if you don't let the charging handle go quickly the slide will not fully close? It kept happening to the GF on the weekend cause she would hold on to the handle a bit to much instead of letting it snap.I would pull the handle back just far enough to not grab another round but enough to get it to snap closed. The slide would stay open from 1/4" to 3/4'' when this happens, my question is what would happen if I were to not be there and she pulled the trigger? At 3/4" I would assume nothing but at 1/4"....

The Tavor's charging handle needs to be pulled all the way back and then released immediately. Any "riding the handle" forward will likely not chamber the round.

It is possible to pull the trigger, and drop the hammer before the home is fully forward. However, the firing pin cannot protrude from the bolt face to hit the primer unless the rifle is fully in battery and so is quite safe.

Hasn't happened to me nor the people who also shot it including a very timid lady friend who gingerly released the charging handle. It will probably start doing it now that I have posted this, however.

Good to know, thanks bud!

I think Jarvy said it best... "riding the handle". I bet she left her hand on it a ways before she let it go.

"riding the handle"

Yeah... it's like a slingshot.

Many people worry they'll damage it, so they ride it.

I've seen it with friends I've taken shooting and pistols. It's like they want to gently ease the round in. Understandable I suppose on some level for non-shooters.

Sounds like it's breaking ;)

By the way, if you have a spare firing pin laying around, you can store it nicely in one of the side panels:
