The 10 rounds @ 300 yards cgn online challenge.

This one looked good on scope but once I went to the spotter I saw the flier. 9 rounds into 2.1" and the 10th makes it a no-go.

I will continue to chase that sub 2" goal.

Thank you Sir! Doncha just hate it when that happens.. I got my flyers right off the bat and tried to work around them but that kinda went southy on me. So 50% on the day isnt bad.

Gotta try again.. Im one that just cant leave well enough alone!
So.. whats next?
The factory moa shoot I guess and tighter groups! Good luck on sub 2" groups. Longer days and warmer weather ahead will help im sure!

This was actually the final step of my load development, I wanted to make sure my vertical was good.

Accuracy International AI AX (SFP) with the 6.5X47 barrel on it, S&B 5-25 with H59 on top. The load is 140gr Berger Hybrid over 37.5gr of Varget. Current speed is 2,803 but I expect it to pick up a bit of speed as it gets above the 200 round mark.

This was done at the CDTSA Milo range at 300M. The group was fired in about a minute - I may try again and be a bit more patient next time.

I have been wanting to try this challange for awhile and today was a good day.My buddy and I had the range to ourselves.I don't reload so the best I could hope for was the factory hornaday match 75gr out of my bone stock tikka T3 varmint in 223.The only mod is a limbsaver recoil pad,the optic is a Vortex PST 6-24x50 ebr-1 moa.I was shooting with a rock BR front rest and a leather rear rabbit ear bag with a box of ammo under it to raise the rear a little more.I shot 1 round and the target fell over so off I ran to reset it as the first round hit the bull, with my buddy being patiant.I then fired off the next 9 rounds in about a minute and went to get my target, another 300 yd hump.I was pretty surprised as I new it was close. When I got back I went to my truck too dig out a tape measure and did a quick measure and was very happy with my results.I,ve been impressed with this rifle since the day I got it.Distance shot was 304yds with nikon prostaff7

Thanks, I too am impressed with how accurate and easy the tikka varmint is too shoot. I've shot a lot of soda cans and clay's at 3-400 yds with this rig with the cheap federal red box 55 gr. I was tempted to try the challenge with it but I'm sure it would have thrown a few flyers.

Yknow Bob,
This range of yours looks just like a place Ive shot before.. out past Tamahi on chilliwack lk rd. A cut just off to the right as you head towards the lake. in the area near the prison...

It's before there on the opposite side of the rd. Same place I shot my buck last fall!!

I will be trying this when my new Glass shows up with my 338 Lapua, lol the $70 challenge 10 to set up and then 10 on paper... assuming it actually works might be the $3000 challange by the time I get there.

I love all the big talk at the beginning of this thread of how easy it is and all that. 1 shooter hit 1/4 Moa a hand full at 1/2 and a decent number at 1moa but no where near the number for guys claiming the 1/2 Moa shooters all day long. And you can use s damn sled for this one. I'll be using bipod and rear bag lol 5 Moa here I come ; )

Looking forward to seeing the first .338 Lap mag entry in this challenge. You will have more recoil to manage but in turn should plough straight through the wind. Keep us posted on how it goes.

Well I gave this a go today. My excuses are 2 fold lol, it was freaking cold and raining, plus 15-30km/hr winds. I think I just squeaked in though. The one flyer cost me a better group, but that's the way she goes.
