X95 Non restricted whos getting one ?

You bought an x95 as a dedicated varmint rifle? That's potentially a mismatch of requirements, depending on what distance your own varmints are typically at. An XCR/ACR/APC/SAN/MV might have been better suited for that role if a semi-auto black gun is a must. A bolt gun with a rail would be much cheaper and better suited IMHO. There is a difference between guns that are consistently 2 MOA vs a gun that is occasionally 2-3 MOA with flyers.
Most people in Canada uses the x95 to deal with imaginary multiple targets at CQB distances. If you have a massive raccoon invasion inside your house perhaps......

Xcr is what this rifle replaced, I took it to be similar to the older tavor in its performance. A good reliable 2 moa rifle, in retrospect I should have purchased a tavor and just bit the bullet on a new trigger pack.
That and AR 15 ergonomics is where I am most comfortable. The x95 fixed everything I disliked about the tavor.
I am now just curious as to why it shoots so poorly.
I have used a tavor and I am thinking it may be the way to go with an after market trigger pack. I am liking the the portability and quick shooting of the bullpup style rifle.
That or I go back to my beloved XCR except with a key modded upper and a light profile barrel.

My Tavor can pop a golf ball pretty consistently at 100y
I can shoot a 12" gong with it all day at 500y
Not sure why yours is giving you so much trouble
 
Look, filling a cqb role should not become the excuse for x95 's poor accuracy. And no,after spending 3k I expect better than a 25 yard "battle" rifle. What a joke this is.

I think people are pointing to a delta between theory and reality, and the main point is that the Tavor was designed with longer barrel length in mind and therefore been through full military QA cycle, where as the civilian x95 is an adaptation of a different design that might not have gone through the same cycles.

Why would it be a poor choice as a hunting rig, if you think about it it should be the perfect rifle for this application. What is the difference between its intended job and use as a predator control device.
If it fails in its as a predator control device......How can it do its intended job.

Think this is the issue, designed to use a 13 inch barrel and adapted to use a longer barrel. Not the other way around.

I would pick my ACR over the X95 any day for varmit. Even I know my X95's limitation.

Well what did you think your $3000 was going to give you? The only thing that's a joke is the comments by some of the children on here.
Do you really think the cost of a rifle is proportional to it's accuracy potential? If you want small groups buy a bolt action, if you want fun you buy a black rifle. If you want an accurate NR black rifle out of the box for under $3000 you buy an HK SL8-4. If you don't mind spending more money a non restricted ACR or a Modern Varmint are what you look for.
The Tavor was never known for it's accuracy, it has been tested by a few people and the best we've seen is a group or two of 1.5 moa. The average has always been 2-2.5 moa with the odd lucky group around 1.5. Why would the X95 be any better? Did someone read somewhere that they had substituted the chrome lined pencil barrel for a match barrel?

How many of you complaining about the accuracy have ever actually shot a 1 moa group from a semi auto consistently?
It is not that easy especially with a short bullpup magnifying every flaw in your technique. One lucky group from a rifle does not make you or that rifle a consistent 1 moa shooter. Spending $3000 does not magically turn you into a sniper or the rifle into a DMR.

Perhaps there is something wrong with Sasko's rifle but coming on here and bashing it isn't going to figure anything out. Maybe contact your retailer or the importer and send it in for inspection or possibly replacement.
 
The good news, with all this accuracy talk I've now decided to move my RMR over to the X95 and get rid of the Elcan for the weight savings. :) Ill see how accuracy is at 100m & 200m on Monday. I still quite enjoy the rifle.

The purpose of posting on here is to get some discussion going, through this discussion people have been posting their experience with the x95.
I have had a few people that have pm'ed me with things they have tried that have worked.

I do hope you find your secret sauce to improve the accuracy to an acceptable level for this gun, i.e. consistently 3 MOA.
It must be a little frustrating that you need to pursue a secret sauce though.

So what are your groups down to after the advice from the people who think a new trigger will get your groups down by half and removing the barrel/handguard support will cut them by half again?
If you're that unhappy with the accuracy send it in for inspection, even though these are not know for accuracy 6moa is not the normal for sandbags and a decent optic.

I'm enjoying mine. groups were at 25 meters, while sighting in my ACOG. Out to 100 they definitely opened up, the wind didn't help. I rang a 6 inch gong at 200 meters consistently off the bench. The range's design makes it impossible to shoot standing due to baffles. Using 55 gr PMC bronze. Havent tried other ammo yet.
