Now sitting at 375 days waiting for my non-restricted. Call once per month and they say, "We are backlogged, I'll send an email to the CFO. Call back in 4-6 weeks".
Go in person to the CFOs office, or phone the local CFOs office. Be polite, explain the year wait and ask if they could review your file.
I thought about that. Problem is their office is about 3 hours away and I would hate to waste a trip if they just turn me around at the door. (worth it if they don't) I'm not sure how they handle drop-ins, they definitely seem annoyed by my monthly phone-calls.
I would annoy them even more and make weekly phone calls after the amount of time you have waited

That's got to be BS - it's not like everyone in BC is waiting a year+ for their license - I'm sure people who applied after you are getting their PAL.
As for me...I'm at 37 days since mailing it off (April 18), but still nothing online, and no money withdrawn from my account. I called again today, and they have nothing in the system. Lady on the phone said that it probably will come online next week...here is hoping.
They're backlogged in BC, but only to an extent. In his case because it's a PAL and not RPAL it would have been approved automatically many months ago. Even if he had checked yes on one of the boxes, unless there's something NotAbotBC isn't telling us then he should have his PAL by now. I would call in and ask to speak with a CFO, if you're denied then request a callback from one as over a years wait is long enough to determine if someone is eligible for a PAL or not. Just be polite, but firm.
It'll be 6 months for my PAL/RPAL application on June 3rd, same speech of "I'll send an email to the CFO, call back in 4-6 weeks". I did hit yes on a checkbox so I expected to wait longer, but it's getting to that point where is it really a backlog??
Did you guys just get passport photos done when submitting your application? OR what is the easiest way to send in the photo?
Thanks
Costco does them. I believe I paid $15 and they were ready before I finished shopping.

BTW has anyone noticed that the women on the phone are usually really cold and dismissive, and the men are the helpful ones that go through the trouble of telling you what is going on?
(Alberta, non-restricted (sorry)) I did my course early February and sent out my application right away.
