I don't trophy hunt so I don't really care about the aesthetics.
I mearly said I prefer to shoot short range.
I'm curious how it holds up on that 375. Chinese scopes and recoil don't seem to get along... I just killed a 4.5-14x44 Legend on a 7mm mag Vanguard which isn't a heavy recoil gun.
I have an elite 2-7x32 on my 458 wm. I had my ultra hd 3-9x50 on it just to see how it would do at 300 yards. 40 shots into a 6" group at 300 plus another 5 to zero it at 100 and 5 shots at 200 yards. No issue...
Gotta wonder if you even hunt when you come up with things like that.
pretty sure in BC we are legally required to have identified it as a legal to shoot animal before you raise the rifle and look through your scope.
There is a reason why 3-9 is so popular. It works in most situations.
You would be right. But its a law that's followed much like the speed limit. I sure as hell wouldn't use my rifle to glass a clear cut or hill side but to quickly count the points or identify a spiker when you're already laying down prone I say go for it. Shooting for the head is a lot worse of a practice than using your scope to count points.
I like this logic...
Similar to the difference in two-wheel and four-wheel drive. Four-wheel drive will get you stuck further in...
This is amusing keep it coming! I think I'll keep my 2 cents to myself though .....![]()
The best advice i was ever given about driving off road was to keep it in 2 wheel drive till you get stuck, then try and get out in 4 wheel drive and you will likely be ok. If you start off in 4 wheel and get stuck you are screwed.

Don't take this one too literally, 4 low exists for a reason...
