Abby Multi-Weapon Operations whos going ?

$400, 2 days with an ex-JTF2 instructor. Round count about 700 I hear? Sounds like too much fun! Weather may be the only concern that time of year.

akimbo time!

ayiiiieee

what we really need is a semi auto dmr style course 100 yards to 600 yards with our long ass nr barrels, not precision rifle, but dmr style shooting man size targets to 600 or even 800 yards in standing and prone positions with 10x max optics.

Good idea except I couldn't hit jack #### at that range! My eyes are crap! Sounds like TacticalTeacher has something like that though.
You sure you can't make this course?

Like.... a BCRA match?

Bud I am swamped. Started my new job this week so for the next 6 months it is going to be ruff at work so too tired to study at night. Weekend = baby + studying

Well looks like im gonna take this course , i hope we get a bit of rain it will make it more fun and real to be in the bad weather , getting dirty is fun.

do you think it will be mostly LEO guys? or weekend warriors like us?

Well before I do a match I'd like a few courses? No sense being the clown that doesnt know what he's doing in front of everyone...

I'm the straight-into-the-fire type, and, in my mind, attending a match is lower financial risk than a course when it comes to shaking out your equipment. You also get to see what a lot of [experienced] people are using, what and how they shoot, before committing to purchases. Equipment and skill deficiencies will become immediately obvious in a match. And you won't be the only new person that day, I guarantee it.

Alternatively, you could attend a few matches just to watch, and learn that way.

So what's everyone bringing ?

556 - ACR and X95 as backup
12 gauge - Mossberg 500 Persuader 8+1 and 870 14" Police as Backup

I'm thinking...

  • 11.5 MRR as main rifle, 15.7IUR as backup (I was debating bringing my short ACR, but I think I'll stick with ARs)
  • Glock19 as main handgun, Glock23 as backup (does it have to be 9mm, or is .40 ok?)
  • Winchester SXP Defender, as it's the only shotgun I have.

  • Plate carrier, for mags
  • Good pair of boots!
  • clothes dependant on weather... probably rain gear, my luck

I'm as budget tacticool as it gets

dominion 5.56 with a vortex red dot
Smith Wesson mp 9mm
Mossberg 500 12g
T.A.G plate carrier

I'll come play...
What should I bring?
My (favorite) 3gun AR has a 1-4, should I stick a RDS on it? I'll definitely lose the obnoxious brake and throw on a linear comp...
I'll bring a Shadow with a Shadow back up...
For shotgun I'm hesitant?
870 with sidesaddle? How else do we carry shotshells? I could bring my slicked out semi and Invictus holders, but I'm thinking that's not the flavour of the course?
Belt with 4x AR, 3x pistol...dump pouch for more shotshells?
