Can you hunt Coyote with a shotgun in ont

What part of repeating firearms ...as in shotguns are you confused about?
The guy quoted the Regs for 2017 and even professed to have spoken with CO's.
I have no dog in this...not to mention I'm in BC where our game laws are more Liberal.
Dam, I just puked a little in my mouth when I typed Liberal...dam I did it again.
Tastes gross.
Tight Groups,
Rob

Only slightly so. I'm pretty sure you can only have more than 3 shells in if you are slug hunting. The regs say something about "max 3 rounds unless single projectile". This comes up when people talk about going buck-slug-buck-slug-buck-slug for bear defense.

I just leave the plug in my semi 12ga. Even if I did take it hunting for deer with slugs, I see no need for more than 3 shots - if I miss that many times I need to go home and rethink things. lol

"Semi-automatic"

I stand by what I said about pumps, and about speaking about things you don't understand...

You need to educate yourself first and speak second before telling others to do the same. Ontario has been 3 shots in a shotgun PERIOD longer than I have been around and not just for waterfowl. For ALL shotgun hunting in Ontario...PERIOD!! Even back in my Dad's day and he is now 76 he had to have his favorite grouse gun 4.10 plugged to accept 3 rounds total!!

In Ontario the max allowed for a shot gun small game, Big game and migratory game is 3 shots 2 in the magazine or tube and 1 in the chamber. There are no exceptions in Ontario unless skeet shooting or something.

+1
To the OP keep in mind all the special regulations recently protecting coyote and wolves in the area around Algonquin Park and when there is an open season for big game you can only use #2 and smaller shot unless you hold a valid big game seal for your area and it is legal to carry that specific firearm for that seal.

Is it best to insert one's foot into one's mouth with the toes first, or the heel first?

Lol. This thread delivers! Lucky Lucy's mistake was a simple one, and is quite understandable as the restriction is super counter-intuitive, especially when shooting slugs.

The comments about "keeping your mouth shut if you don't know the regs" though is just fantastic! Tail between your legs, and off you go :p
