Yes, it is. The radius and weaver 3-15 are not light weight items, like this the weight is sitting at 13.5 lbs.

I'm pretty sure buying an M1A basically guarantees you have to try a Blackhawk Down build. So I present my Whitehawk Daft build. Don't panic, I used a beater stock off the EE, not the bedded walnut stock that came with the gun.
M1A NM, m14.ca M-SHG, Aimpoint Comp 2MOA, SA muzzle brake, extended mag release, SA butt pad, rattle-can and masking tape paint job. The best part is that all of these except the SHG were purchased on the EE, so I like to think of it as a CGN community rifle assembled by the most cut rate, amateur gun smith ever (me). It's been a learning experience, thank you to those who supplied their surplus parts!

I shot Hirtenberger, Norinco, and handloads. All worked fine except norinco ammo didn't get along with XCR-M mags. It worked fine in the IMI mags. I am testing some nice quality factory ammo tomorrow.

I remember 30 years ago, seeing the advertisements for the HK 91 and always wanting one. I finally picked one up.
Buddy had one, I still have some striated IVI brass. Pity, be nice to see how it shoots.
