Hell, if RA could get their XCR-L in x39 down to $2000 CAD the M10x would be a memory. (If they M+M raises the price)
It's because if you buy it anyway, they'll know they can fleece you.
Oh yeah. They had some kind of tentative agreement. Then their investors told them to get more money.
This is why I gave a number I thought reasonable.
At $1449, they were more than likely grey market guns. Nothing shady about it. For sure not the first time. M+M can't stop the grey market completely, but I'd assume they somehow put the brakes on whatever deal wanstals had in the works. I say boycott. Wanstals and Canada Ammo are more important to our community than those d-bags
That is exactly why you don't write posts like "About $1600-$1700, I think they're really pushing it, but the market will bear it" when you know the cost should be $1450.
because two retailers here in canada both say they put in the "extensive" work with the rcmp to bring this rifle to its NR status. Whoever submitted the rifle did the work and the other is a liar, pretty simple.
I don't see why people are making such a big deal about who submitted the sample.

It's been available with a 18.6" barrel since shotshow 2016. No re-barrel required. At the most, a special order.Doubtful. Is the M10X not using a proprietary barrel? To get them up to 18.5", I don't think they grey market could afford to re-barrel them and resell them to Wantsall's and have everybody still making a decent margin. Not with a wholesale price hovering around $1000 US.
I keep hearing about this Wanstalls Can Ammo thing, but not the details. What exactly happened? Is there a thread someone can link?

A NR 7.62x39 for the same price of a NR .308? That would be insane. There's a reason why CSAs and T81s and M305as have the price they have. 7.62x39 is a fun caliber, but there are way better options out there, if you surpass the $1.500 threshold.

What's the skinny bfiles? You're a professional rifle buyer. Should I buy? From whom?
