I mean, they’ve consistently screwed around our other distributors, slapped us with an NR tax, and give us complete BS as regards the changes to justify the increased cost.

Are you really confident that they’ll stand behind their product? That their CS will be what it needs to be with a new, relatively unproven platform? That NS will honour warranty work properly? I mean... I was still kind of in for 2k for this rifle until I thought about what it could cost me in the long run...

Just my thoughts. YMMV.

I see typical CGN admin locking threads in other sponsored sections. I really hope this could see the downfall of CGN and everyone go over to gun owners of canada.

Clay buster has created turmoil, but not all of said allegations are correct, best get facts right before slandering the guy no matter how bad he deserves it.
 
At 1500 was ready to pony up the cash for this. At 2 grand pls tax, hell no. My mini thirty works just fine and I can buy a 7.62x39 ar for half the price if I want to plink at the range. I wouldn't care if m + m went tits up after trying to gouge the Canadian consumer so deep

At 2K it wouldn’t have been a purchase I made. I did the preorder and am hoping it’ll be a nice rifle.

2K won’t be too much money if it lives up to my expectations. I paid $2,600 for my XCR-L
 
It’s just the fact of the matter that 2 days ago you could have brought this rifle in at $1249 USD which works out to around $1500. Now it’s worth $2k.

Go to the political action forum and read the post from Ottawa. He lays it all out first hand, CB jumps in and makes some half-hearted excuses that only confirmed his guilt in my eyes, but I encourage you to go make your own mind up.
 
Lets say none of this went down the way it did. Everything was on the up and up, no BS

Lets say M+M came to market with this "new" M10x in Canada and the starting selling price was $1999.00.

How many would buy it ?



Honestly, not me .... not worth it compared to other offerings.

So either Ottawa is lying or CB is. I have no first hand knowledge of either, but the fact is that CB admits he tipped off some MP's about ottawa's real identity and that he was promoting lobbying MP's on firearms issues and talking about it on cgn.

Then in short order, a complaint from some "woman" using a fake name is sent to the hill times and Ottawa is fired. He believes CB contributed to his plight, CB doesn't deny that, and to me it all seems pretty well established - unless I missed some details??

Edit: sorry for the detail. Not sure how we got onto this, back to discussing the m10x stuff.
