M+M CEO Considered Pulling M10X Rifle From Canada After Brouhaha - CDN Gun Blog

I'm considering starting a "what I bought instead of an M10X" thread just to give NS and M&M some food for thought on how much $$ they missed out on being sleazy greedy dicks.
There is a bit more purchasing power on CGN then a lot of people realize. Wolverine sold 400 VZ's in one day at $1000 a pop on here not too long ago...$400,000 in 1 day. TI has to be close to selling out the 1000 T81's at $1000 a pop by now....and I had my doubts about them getting made and getting here after the delays etc, but they pulled it off...$1,000,000+ in sales right there.

He says that because he got caught in lie after lie and called out for his sh**ty and unethical business practices by numerous Canadian potential customers. Now he is stomping his feet and making idle threats !
Take your rifle and go home ...

Nicolas said he was not paid for this or anything he does on the gun blog, but I could make a donation if I wanted. Additionally he said he's followed my comments this evening and asked what surprised me about the post.

This was my response:You brought up the drama less any details, and completely ignored the BS Mike spewed on Facebook, and Social Marketing or even his CGN account before it was toasted. Your article explicitly makes the community look poor, and M+M and NS as having a high ground, when its the furthest thing from the truth as far as I can tell.

Just found this, I like your style. I would have asked, "OK, then how much did MnM "donate""

I like that Idea.... I bought ammo from CanAm.

This is the most sensible idea that's came out of all this bickering.
Do it!! I'll post what I already bought instead of an M10X.

I bought one of these...or I guess "another one" of these is more accurate.

Bought some ammo and keeping the balance

10.5" PSA Freedom from IRG for me plus accessories .....
Still have $1300 left to buy something else.
That's all before tax on the M10 lol......

Seriously, we need a new thread for this. No sense in it all getting lost in here. And since it was you're idea HITZY... pave the way.

This could be epic!

The point I was making is in regards to the reaction to the situation.

People will always be pro or con to a price; but when you promise an obviously unrealistic price (CANAM knew the price was going to be $2k+) and do not deliver, it creates a hostility toward a number of parties, unwarranted or not.

You can continue with your insults and ignorant assumptions; it just invalidates any points you may occasionally make.

I think it is YOU that is missing the point here.

FACT: M&M publicly stated on FB (before deleting it) that their international pricing strategy was to subsidize cheaper pricing in the USA. Canada Ammo backed that up, claiming the same thing.
FACT: M&M promised to honour the presale pricing, thanked Wantsalls for their hard work in getting the rifle approved, and then quietly renegged on the deal, forcing Wantsalls to buy rifles from North Sylva and eat a huge loss to enrich North Sylva.
FACT: Canada Ammo paid for the sample, imported it, and jumped through all the RCMP hoops. M&M went around them and signed exclusivity deals with NS for whatever reason. Then they had the GALL to thank NS for getting the rifle approved. Which is it? Not all 3 dealers worked hard to get it approved - we all know it was CanAm.

All you have to do is follow their facebook feed for 24 hours and you will know everything you need to know about M&M's business ethics. Enough said.

Price is the very last reason people are so put off.

I honestly predict we never get these guns at this point.

They way they have handled things, they won't have the critical mass to re-start production before they slip into Chapter 11. Good riddance IMHO.
