Three of my past dealings with TI have all had some issue or another that has dragged on and on so this saga is becoming quite familiar. My take on TI is that it's a small operation with a steep learning curve ahead of them but it is, unfortunately, projecting itself to be much larger and experienced player - hence the heartache felt by it's customers as there is a disconnect between the marketing and reality. Too bad, as this episode will result in them losing repeat customers rather than capitalize on the opportunity to be an established niche player that has unique items. A little bit of planning and effort on their part would have gone a long way in improving the overall experience. The transaction amount is irrelevant, as that is a one time event and soon forgotten, but the purchasing experience is what sustains and builds your customer base.
So, keep your expectations low and in line with what one would expect from a small online shop that is just starting out with all it's teething pains. At the rate they are shipping, I suspect they have another 1-2 weeks of activity left to ship the balance of the rifles out. I've waited this long, might as well wait a bit longer now to get this over with.
