I call bull crap... Eric runs it because he's sponsored and can replace the broken RTS2 every match... seeing as you have so much faith in this product for this purpose, does this mean you will personally warranty repair or replacement of the slide mounted RTS2 for life when it breaks?

I just installed mine today...
To be honest I’m not all pumped up about it, to call it loose and sloppy would be a complement.
I used several shims but the screws they provide are on the short side due to the slop, the screws they provide for mounting the optic are FH’s not PH’s as well (I have a Vortex Venom, the Burris might need these screws?).
Not much of the mount is actually grabbing the rear dovetail so time will tell if it holds up.
Hopefully the division is popular so better options become available.
I agree. I installed the mount this past Friday and the tolerance is overwhelming - it's not even in spec. I used a single layer from a pop can to shim the dovetail as well. The mount is tight now, but I'm curious if this will even hold up.
The mount was installed on a SP-01 Shadow 1.
I used two pop can shims, as held up for THOUSANDS of rounds, with 23+1 mags too... 200 round matches ftw. No zero shifting at all.
Did you shim the entire dovetail or just the front or rear end? 2 layers is pretty thick - drifting would eventually tear the shims apart.
Shadow 1.What gun have you got it mounted on? Mine was overly tight for my New Edition 75B. Is it loose in the mount or the dovetail?

FWIW, Henning Walgren is working on mounts for various scopes and guns; his first products will be for the Shadows and Tanfoglios - if you follow him on Instagram and / or Facebook - you can see him testing them and tweaking the design. As an ex-pro he should know how to wring out the things. As soon as he thinks they're ready - I'll be bringing them in. Might be another option.

Just the bottom. Zero shims front or back.
The Springer mount is not designed for interference fit. The two set screws provide tension against bottom of dovetail, which makes the mount under tension against the dovetail. Then the fore and aft plastic tipped screws completely lock it down.
Those plus green locktite has held up great.
Why would anyone buy a $600 (unproven for slide mount) optic with no warranty when you can buy a vortex venom at half the cost with a lifetime no questions asked unconditional warranty?
And how do you know this? What does my alias or location have anything to do with the durability claims of a $600 optic that was not designed for slide mount?

For the folks following along.

Wow, very unprofessional.
All I said was the RTS2 is not made for slide mounted optics... somehow you take that personally.
Sometimes I wonder how people with poor attitudes stay in business... I've bought stuff from you in the past and had nothing but good experiences... but calling bull crap on an unproven optic has nothing to do with you or your business and your comments reflect a very unprofessional attitude.
I have seen the RTS2 fail at several major matches throughout the USA, however I still run one myself on my open gun but there is no way in hell I would put that thing on a slide mount... it will fall apart in no time, it's not durable enough.
I have no doubt the Vortex optic will fail also but that's why I have 2 of them, the difference here is a lifetime unconditional warranty, something neither you nor C-more will offer because you both know better.
