Marihuana at Hunting Camp.

Your quote on post #573 is black and white. Do you have problem reading your own quote, one beer nothing more?....

Yes, one beer, nothing more.... it's a rule in regards to alcohol consumption and has nothing to do with pot.....

As I said earlier, we only have one guy who does it and he is very safety conscious, so if he decided to have a toke at lunch the group would likely be fine with it.....

Your reading comprehension is terrible.....

I agree that if you own the camp you get to make the rules... PERIOD.. You own it FFS. I don't let someone come in my house and do whatever they want. Its my GD house!! Although I don't agree

with some examples of the rules doesn't mean the owner doesn't have the right to make them. And if those lucky enough to be invited to his camp to enjoy the amenities don't like the rules then the

answer is simple. Don't go.

But as far as the marihuana debate goes...... IF you allow drinking in you're camp then obviously you should allow the guy that want's to partake in the green leaf to do so as well. Just not inside

because I don't want to partake.

Anyone over 19 can buy it online. Been that way for a while. No prescription necessary. A picture of your drivers license with everything blacked out but the date of birth and name and you're good to go. Comes in a non descript package. Mailman probably knows what it is but he doesn't care either.

Kinda off topic, but I can honestly say that deer are attracted to the smell of it. A few years ago I was sitting in my stand bow hunting on a fence line that divided 2 property's. A young guy that hunted the neighbors liked to do a bit of puffing now and again while he was sitting. His stand was a couple hundred yards from mine and a couple times when the wind was right I could smell it and seen him smoking away.
Anyway this morning a scrawny little button buck was feeding 15-20 yds out from my stand. The wind this particular morning put me down wind of him.
All of a sudden the little guys head came up, and he started sniffing like crazy. I caught a wiff of the wacky tabacy then too, and he took off like a bullet over the fence and ran right twords the young guys stand. Like I said the deer was a scrawny little guy neither of us took a shot, but that deer hung around there for quite a long time just wandering around with his nose up trying to find the smell. It was actually quite comical.

As long as I can remember there has always been a long running feud between sudsers and pot heads.

No there isn’t. Honestly, do you ever get out or did you just arrive in your time machine? Beer and weed are a marriage made in heaven. There’s even marijuana infused beer...

I’d love to hook you up with some - might help you chill a bit...

To repeat one of my first posts in this thread it would not be hard to tell now who would be out of the hunting with firearms game if one had to pass a d & a test to acquire their PAL!!

If one had to completely abstain from all drink or dope permanently in orser to own firearms, i would bet very few firearms would be owned.

What about mushrooms?

What about mushrooms?

I would prefer the people I'm hunting with not to be on hallucinogens.

Nor I were I to hunt.

Here's a question. Im not really familiar with the new laws/restrictions coming in about pot but I do believe after a certain amount it someone can be accused of/charged with trafficking or intent to sell or some ####? The few friends of mine that smoke pot usually seem like they have a lot of it on hand.
Unless I'm mistaken again (and sorry for the poopy phrasing) the police can seize assets if those assets are used for crime. Like we've read about the government taking vehicles and houses from landlords when their tenants are caught with drugs.

Could a hunt camp owner run the risk of losing their camp (and possibly other assets) if the police catch someone with a large amount of pot and in saying its both trafficking and the dwelling is associated with the crime somehow?

Drug;

A drug is any substance (other than food that provides nutritional support) that, when inhaled, injected, smoked, consumed, absorbed via a patch on the skin, or dissolved under the tongue causes a temporary physiological (and often psychological) change in the body.

Alcohol and marijuana are both drugs. Therefore, people who drink alcohol cannot look down on marijuana users and vice versa as both parties are relying on a DRUG to alter their state of mind, usually to "take the edge off" or "relax". This has to be one of the stupidest arguments anyone can have...one group trying to put their drug above the others.

BOTH are drugs. BOTH cause issues if used excessively. BOTH can be used responsibly.

Short answer no. Unless they are using the camp to harvest, dry, trim, package for sale large amounts. Which would obviously not be the case for your buddy that has a zip lock bag full for his enjoyment and consumption.

But there's some good examples out there of what appears to be the government using this tactic to punish people. Buddy could be accused of trafficking it out of the hunt camp to members.
