Thanks to Yail, I finished my simplification of my M14E2 project. Removed the optics and ARMS mount, and replaced the old Norc rear sight with a NM hooded sight.

I do. Lots of work done here. Sent to a gunsmith for barrel indexing, trigger job and gas system unitizing as well.

Taking off the FH shortens the rifle by 3" and also reduces the weight a little. This is a hunting rifle, so it's not like I really need the FH.
I didn't want to risk damaging the fine threads though, so the thread protector will take care of that as well as potential crown damage.
This rifle is under 10lbs now with the Nork stock, including mag & sling.

Just finished up my M305:

- Blackfeather stock combined with an MVB Arc butt stock
- Vortex Venom on an SAI clip guide mount
- SEI Good Iron muzzle brake.

I still have yet to get a 102, but I'll probably get one eventually.

In the meantime, I got new glass for the M14. There wasn't really anything wrong with the Bushnell, except the objective paralax adjustment was sort of bugging me.

My Mk12 clone had a VX-R Patrol on it, but I sourced a Mark 4 for the Mk12 clone, so off came the Patrol and I figured I'd throw it on the M14.
