Well not to start a war but some of you guys must have ordered right off there menu and got a custom cookie cutter glock or something. I strayed from the menu and got some channels cut into my slide and knew it would take a bit longer. I was told a reasonable time line for the completion of the firearm and added a extra month To my own wait just in case. And my communications with the people where good. Then it started the time line kept getting pushed back. And trough my dealings with these guy they admitted to doing a few things to my firearm then putting it aside to pump out 4 or 5 of their easier protects. After meany emails and phone calls over the months and months hearing some excuse or another. And may I add, I did not want to pester them and spread all these communications out over the months. I finely had enough and called to just have it sent back to me, 5 months after they kept stringing me along. I think they knew the call was coming because, that's when they said oh it's going to paint today. Well I did get it back and when I opened up to inspect it the cerakote on the frame was chipped up. Like I said they did cut me a deal because of there poor services. And one of the people I talked to was a salesman of a reputable dealer in Canada who said "ya they did a poor job on cerakoteing my firearm and jerked me around, and it came back scratched up. It's sad that I'm not the only one who I have heard of who had a bad experience with them". My friends cerakote on his glock started to wear off very quickly as well, and it was not in heavy use. They will do their best to make it right and maybe we small few are the freak incidents, but Like I said I will not support this company again. And for you guy who do I hope you have a better experience than other and myself have had.
We appreciate the feedback and we know exactly which project you are referring to. To give everyone some context, we admit that this project took far longer than anticipated, it was a project that required us to write new programs and test these programs before cutting into the customers slide. Add that into the pile of work we got from the cerakote promo and this was the unfortunate result. We never rush projects, each project takes a long as it needs to be completed correctly, especially ones that require services outside the standard ones we offer.
With this project specifically, we recognized that the lead time wasn't reasonable. We first extended a 50% discount off all the services as a gesture of goodwill, which jackal820 accepted. We also installed, tuned and test fired the M&P Apex FSS Trigger Kit free of charge. Once he received the firearm back, he noticed a blemish on the slide right where the slide catch contacts the slide. He emailed us right away about the defect, we offered to recoat the slide free of charge and cover the shipping to/from. Instead, he demanded a full refund on all the work, which we did. After the full refund, we still insisted that he send the slide back for recoating, since we cover that under our warranty. We've also extended a 50% discount on his next project if he chooses to come back. If you're still unsatisfied with your M&P we will replace it with a brand new one. Outside of that, we don't know what else we can do to make this right.
We try our best to ensure that every single project goes out without any problems. However, we are human, sometimes there are things that slip through the cracks. This is why we stand behind our work and have a no B.S. warranty program. We've worked on over 2000 custom projects since we've opened our doors and like we said to Jackal820, we've only ever had 2 other project come back for recoating. Jackal820's experience with us, is not our standard and when these things come up, we do everything in our power to make it right.
