I bought a few stripped polycarbonate lowers a while back, the plan was to transfer them to my kids, I guess I should speed up the plan.

what other legal option do you have but to turn it in if you do not hold a possession license for what they decide to reclassify the firearm to?

Remember, we have been given permission to possess certain firearms under certain guidelines for certain uses. We do not have property rights in canada.

Yeah. I think we all need a reminder of this now and then. We have to keep fighting. We’re not defeated yet.
 
I am wondering how much of this is being fed to us so when they bring out the actual legislation we will all be thankful that it wasnt as bad as this information that is leaking out

If we can keep our stuff and all they did was restrict the amount of handguns you can buy a year then I will be hugely relieved.

If the government changes class to prohibited and forces gun owners to turn them in without full compensation you can bet that many will end up in the illegal market casing even worse problems on the streets. Why does the government always side with criminals instead of innocent law abiding citizens. Use a gun as part of a robbery.....Minimum 15 years in jail. A Drug dealer caught with a weapon without license or registration? Minimum 5 years in jail on top of the drug trafficking charges. The government is missing the point of discouraging people to use guns in an illegal fashion and punishing those who use them legally.
 
One thing we can all do is buy at least one cheap-ass stripped AR15 lower receiver to register... I figure the more that are out there in the hands of licensed, law-abiding citizens, the harder it will be for them to push for prohibition.


Also, encourage anyone you know to go get their license, and purchase at least one semi-auto firearm. I have a tonne of friends that always ask me for a day at the range... I'm gonna start making them get a license before I take them.
