Well, anyone worried about quality control of the 102 can rest easy now.. as I have had my rifle for a few months and have had ZERO failures with it!
It is in complete stock configuration and let me tell ya! It is quite astonishing how well it has performed, not a single problem the entire time I've had it.
And believe me, I have put it through its paces... for example: one day I took it out of the safe, then though, na na buddy! Get that back in there! So before I could even open the free soft case it came with.. back into the safe it went. That was a day I really remembered, because I still can't believe how well it performed that day!
So basically after all the waiting, b.s. that came along with it regarding changes, and then seeing it's a poor performer.. I don't even want it anymore, yet alone want to shoot it. So one of these days I'll have to put it up on the EE, perhaps a reverse auction or simply best offer.
No use trying to put a round in the chamber even. I'm over it I think. Will chalk it up as the second worst gun purchase I ever made.
Thats why the smart ones got stripped receiver sets
But a lot of the problems are just from chitty assembly and lack of QC. Nothing a bit of elbow grease cant fix if you have the tools.
they would have been better off buying a MH from ATRS.
Nah! for half the price of a MH I got a AR10 and no proprietary parts as a bonus.
But the MVs is a sweet looking piece of kit![]()

I’ve seen your parts list, there is no way you are near half of $3650 for a base model MH. Unless you know of some Brownells coupon codes at 50% off.
DILLIGAF basically nailed it : many Canadians will pay 2000$ for a not fully debugged non-restricted AR10.
Let also be realistic 2K now is pocket change compared to 10 years ago. And I paid 800$ for s stripped 102 set, will pay 1K for an ATRS MVs set and a couple weeks ago I paid 200$ for a stripped AR-15 set...lol...
the NR status is expensive in Canada, But thats life. You gotta pay to play and the guys that took the time to get NR sets approved need to make money.
the 180 is the ugliest piece of kit I've seen in a long time. the only reason it sold is price point and NR status. For the kind of money they are asking might as well get an original. lol...
That only work because people are willing to pay stupid amounts for "NR" status.
If they didn't... the price would drop.
Cheers,
When did 2K become stupid ? Heck I cant even get my Daughters teeth fixed for less than 5K and I have insurance. Cant even go out with the wife for a nice dinner for less than 300$
I swear some gun owners just need to take up knitting so we can stop hearing them complain about how expensive this hobby is.
And some firearm owners have more money then brains.
Look at the prices in the U.S... the market is flooded with ARs comes are almost giving them away and still going bankrupt.
And yet we are willing to paying 5k-8k for a system that it may or may not accept standard ar10 mags.

I rest my case boys...
It is almost like we are still leaving in the 1990s.
I can order stuff from the u.s, pay the shipping, import tax, 30% exchange fees and still save 300-400 Canadian dollars...
That should tell you something*...but it's your hard earned money... spend it any way you would like.
Cheers,
