Definition of a Fudd gun??

Calling other people names was not OK in Kindergarten. Obviously, some people missed that lesson. But what would you expect from the self-righteous and self congratulatory. I cannot see how this thread belongs with the adults.

My definition of a "Fudd Gun" is a SXS 12 gauge, internal or external hammers, with buckshot. Honorable mention goes to the Winchester Model 94 30-30 and the Remington 7600 pump 30-06 or 308.

A Model 94 is NOT a Fudd gun...

Until someone slaps a sidemount on it...

What is the accepted definition of a "Fudd Gun" and the expected accessories that come with it?

Best to reply with pics if possible, general thoughts and experience, but please avoid any "Fudd vs Mall Ninja" lines of conversation in order to keep this thread on a positive note.

Every gun I own!! I don’t have one single black, camo or any other genuine plasteek tupperware gun. I have owned a couple in the past but just couldn’t warm up to them. Plastic is for putting margarine in.

There is no such thing as a "Fudd gun". FUDD is an attitude from a gun owner towards other gun owners and their choice of firearms.

FUDDS are well know to despise synthetic material, restricted firearms and pistols while justifying their position by stating the following:

-one cannot hunt with these type of firearms
-who needs X firearms
-who needs X amount of firearms and/or ammo
-who needs pistols
-these weapons are made to kill

They also excel in the "Under the bus throw" of other gun owners. As long as what they own isn't in the sights of the upcoming bans, they do not care that YOU lose your legally acquired and peacefuly owned property, as long as they get to keep theirs.

They will also go out of their ways to annoy other shooters at the range for the following reasons:

-shooting too fast
-shooting silhouette targets or anything that isnt round
-shooter using LAR15/BEO magazines
-users of muzzle brakes
-shooting the SKS
-some will even call authorities on fellow gun owners for no reasons

They will call other shooters name and actually mean it:

-dumb rednecks
-knuckle draggers
-mall ninjas
-tacticools

For a reference, research CLAYBUSTER olds post to find out about the FUDD attitude.

As a conclusion, there is no "FUDD firearms", only people can be FUDDs

You forgot barrel suckers!’

A sidemount does add Fudd to the 94 to be sure.

LOL

What about a model 64 deluxe carbine and model 71? I inherited both with sidemounts and weaver fixed 4x scopes and both accounted for many deer and moose taken! And the 64 was owned and carried by a VC recipient from WW1!!

"A slur against "casual" and/or non-militant gun owners, employed by pro-gun extremists. Derived from the Warner Bros. cartoon character, Elmer Fudd, it implies that anyone who does not carry an assault weapon, militarize their hunting & shooting practice, belong to a militia, and/or advocate for the same with fanatical zeal, is somehow stupid, incompetent with their weapon, and out of touch. Essentially, this allows the extremists to marginalize and discount any gun user who isn't crazy.

Look at that <<expletive>>! Showin' up to OUR range with nothing but a Winchester! He don't even have a SCOPE! Them Fudds is gonna be the death of guns in America!"

I guess by that description that makes me a FUDD because I could not give a rat’s a_ _ about shooting tactical weapons or miltarizing my range shooting style or hunting. And I sure have zero interest in dressing up like I’m in a combat zone at the rifle range. :wave:That being said to each his own and I don’t throw those that do enjoy those things under the bus no matter what my opinion may be of the individual.

I've heard many definitions of FUDD, one of them was "someone who likes blued guns with wood stocks" in that case, I'm a FUDD. Because even my AR-15 has a wood stock.

To get this thread back on topic, Here's my FUDD gun;

The "clip" is loaded with dominion 303 "shells". {Those that don't understand this, all of the old guys in my family call magazines "clips" and cartridges "shells".}
Funny thing, I bought this gun from a guy named Elmer.
And you can't discuss FUDD guns without a single shot Cooey;

This was my grandfathers gun, passed down to me.
