Stag 10 build and range review

It still needs a gas block and thread protector 5 lbs 13 oz

Brigand Arms 15” Edge Handguard
Brigand Arms Carbon fibre grip
V-Seven Titanium BCG
BSF fluted 20” 308
Superlative bleed off adjustable gas block *not installed yet, weighs 1.8oz*
Thread protector *not installed, probably half ounce*
Trijicon MRO with Scalarworks mount
BAD Sabertube carbine length stock
DPMS buffer and spring

I think the only way to get a lighter gun is a titanium forward assist and titanium adjustable gas block.

It’s handles awesome and is nicely balanced.

I’m using a pendlum of pain sling and will be putting a weapon light on it.

Nice so about 6 lbs once you get the gas tube, block and muzzle device. I have a very similar build on a bcl. Same barrel and bcg. Limited to the slr handguard which was about 3 oz heavier than the Brigand. Also put a 3 oz muzzle brake on and have been debating that decision. Was debating the Sabertube, ended up going with the mft minimalist but maybe I should change. How do you like that Brigand grip?

Changing my stock will get me to 6lbs 5 Oz still heavier than yours but was thinking the balance might be nicer with a heavier stock? I ended up putting a 1.3 lbs scope and mount. Wanted something more than a red dot but still wanna stay light. Any suggestions?

The Brigand grip feels good, it’s not slippery like I thought it would be. It comes with grip tape too. The only downside to the Sabertube is it might be cold on the face in the winter.

The only lightweight option would be an ACOG at 14 oz I think.

if the tube is carbon fiber it should warm to the face immediately in the cold much like a wooden stock. I have made a couple carbon fiber stocks now for my hunting rifles and have found no downside in the cold when it comes to skin on surface contact.

Well, it has been a long wait, but it’s finally here. Thought I’d post a few pics of my factory upgraded gun. Can’t get to the range for a bit, however I will be properly breaking in the barrel, as per the BA instructions, and then accuracy testing with factory match ammunition. The factory two stage trigger broke consistently at 4.5 lbs. I replaced it with a Geiselle SSA-E for a consistent 2.5 lb break. Hopefully the accuracy lives up to the hype. Cosmetically the rifle is perfect, and the build quality is on par with any high end AR. XCR-M pistol mags drop free. Weighs 15.6 lbs as pictured.

Wow beautiful rifle and setup. Eventually I see myself getting one of the 6.5 CM. I'm liking that configuration. I wasn't sure about the factory handguard but it looks good in your photos. The other add ons are also the same stuff I like to put on my AR rifles. Looks like a really nice complete precision system.

Other than a Geissele DMR trigger and few component upgrades it’s basically stock and weighs in about 16.5 lbs with my Atlas bipod and empty mag. Now I just need some time off from work to break it in :)
