Not sure what to feel happy about, someone educate me.
Will there be consequences?
Will there be consequences?
I don’t like seeing RCMP get in trouble anymore then I like seeing responsible gun owners get in trouble.
As a cop myself I feel for the RCMP decision makers, but also as a cop I realize the most dangerous guns are the ones that criminals have and illegally obtained - people who could care less about any laws.
I’ve dealt with a number of criminals with guns in years past, even one in the last week. They don’t give a crap about our silly firearms laws. Make as many as you like - they won’t care.
I would wager that I deal less with lawful firearms owners then any segment of the population. Most are real good people, ifnot somwhat distrustful of cops, and that’s too bad.

What is going to be the punishment?
The really sad part is, that politicization of senior members of the law enforcement community has led to the distrust of all LEOs by the segment of the population that was formerly their biggest supporters.

Anton520b. I would never encourage anyone to commit an offence. Shooting a .44 handgun on ones own private land would be an offence. So don’t do it.
It’s silly, in my opinion, but it’s the law.
Personally, if I attended this ficticous call I would use it as an opertinity to educate someone on firearms laws. Without another offence having occurred I would advise the offender and attempt to close a gap between Police and the community.
Don’t paint us all with the same brush.
I’ve often taken on my peers in firearms debate. Sometimes it gets ugly and I feel like I’m the only one on the side of freedoms for responsible gun owners. I fight it for myself and for you guys!
soooooooo can I use my legal 25 round 10/22 mags again?
you stopped using them??
When in politics, being held accountable means simply that you admit that you take full responsibility. As meaningless and empty as those words are and without further recourse or punishment just saying those words seem to be plenty to appease the concerns of most voters.
What is going to be the punishment?
