RCMP to be held accountable for Parliamentary Violations

I don’t like seeing RCMP get in trouble anymore then I like seeing responsible gun owners get in trouble.

As a cop myself I feel for the RCMP decision makers, but also as a cop I realize the most dangerous guns are the ones that criminals have and illegally obtained - people who could care less about any laws.

I’ve dealt with a number of criminals with guns in years past, even one in the last week. They don’t give a crap about our silly firearms laws. Make as many as you like - they won’t care.

I would wager that I deal less with lawful firearms owners then any segment of the population. Most are real good people, ifnot somwhat distrustful of cops, and that’s too bad.

We need more boys in blue like this fella speaking sense FIRST HAND

Good job sir, thanks for your service also.

We need more voices of reason and superior credibility like this. Thank you for your service Jeff!

The really sad part is, that politicization of senior members of the law enforcement community has led to the distrust of all LEOs by the segment of the population that was formerly their biggest supporters.

about time ..... should be some charges and fines etc out of this as well.....and individual members held accountable not just the department per se....

:agree:
One of the main purposes of bill c68 was to put the firearms owners and law enforcement communities at loggerheads.
Succeeded beyond the co-drafters (Cukier and Rock and some DOJ lawyers) wildest expectations.

I'm shaking my head as I read . I live in a quiet town of less than 2000 people.. Speed trap set up by yellow legs in town. That's what we have a bylaw officer for.
Yet the farms are being robbed constantly and crap going on in town. Go figure.

Anton520b. I would never encourage anyone to commit an offence. Shooting a .44 handgun on ones own private land would be an offence. So don’t do it.

It’s silly, in my opinion, but it’s the law.

Personally, if I attended this ficticous call I would use it as an opertinity to educate someone on firearms laws. Without another offence having occurred I would advise the offender and attempt to close a gap between Police and the community.

Don’t paint us all with the same brush.

I’ve often taken on my peers in firearms debate. Sometimes it gets ugly and I feel like I’m the only one on the side of freedoms for responsible gun owners. I fight it for myself and for you guys!

I like what you posted: I'll try to remember your user-name as you come across as one of the many "good guys".

When in politics, being held accountable means simply that you admit that you take full responsibility. As meaningless and empty as those words are and without further recourse or punishment just saying those words seem to be plenty to appease the concerns of most voters.

Agreed ! .... accountable without punishment is just meaningless. Unfortunately a lot of VOTERS are either mis-informed or un-informed.

10/22 mags don’t need lousy restrictions. We plink with our 10/22’s. Not shoot up schools. Canada doesn’t have this society problem that the USA has. We therefore do not need a spanking for what Americans have going on!!!!!
