What stock is that? I like it!
Yes, exactly what I will do. The rear two screws are screwed in in the picture, Front don't match up. It didn't look as if the rail is obstructing ejection of cases.
Just took out my 308 CTR From it's E-Tac4 stock and put in the T1X, will be my garden trainer. Fitted absolutely perfect into the factory bedded stock. The floorplate is narrower than the CTR and therefore there is a little gap left and right of the T1X floorplate but function is perfect. This is what I wanted all along, something to replace dry firing.... a 22 in a proper stock, same stock I use for hunting.
Just need to fit the rail and dig out a different scope.

Thanks Capt. Hook. This stock has the NV rail and side rail for the Raptar. Our SF guys had that stock for a while and one or two Canadian SF guys shot it last year. I use it for hunting Sika and long range fox or plinking. Shot a nice stag last Sunday with it.

BTW. Scope rail drilled, fitted and bore sighted. Should have over 40MOA left with the Zeiss Conquest 6.5-20x50. Zero tomorrow.

Thanks, I completely missed those posts. I thought people were just getting their rifles in, putting on their scopes, changing out stocks, and taking fancy photos

Today is not going to happen for accuracy/groups. I can read wind just fine but 15mph gusting from 6/3 and 12 O'clock is not going to work
The wind gods have spoken.It would be great to see some pictures of targets -- the next best thing to seeing for yourself.

What type of group would you like? 5 shots, or 10?
Five consecutive groups of five shots at 50 yards is good benchmark. Ten groups would be even better, but five would give readers of this thread a reasonable idea of what can be done.
50yd, a bit gusty. Rifle only had a handful shots before the zero. Top right targets were winnie subs the rest cci subs. Early days and I was a bit disappointed with some flyers. Some might have been my fault and the rest was a bit wobbly. Bottom left 5 shot group measured 11mm but I couldn't repeat. Need to do a bit more work, test with a different or no suppressor. Get a few more ammo brands etc.

Just put my 22 into a T3x varmint. The barrel is free floating it’s a canyon. I’d rate it a 9/10 easy effort. The only problem is the magazine must be put in place with “authority “ . The inlet on the stock where the trigger guard is placed is a little too shallow so the guard sits a bit “proud”

Tikka T1x box Stock. Very gusty variable winds today. Have not played with torques greater or lesser than factory. Shows a lot of promise. Before I forget, that Cannon hole is from a 44 magnum for reference.

These are the last 2 groups before light got poor. T1x is showing a lot of promise. It desperately needs trigger work. and I have yet to play with front or rear action torque.
No excuses proffered. When you have a new rimfire, there are always things that will need 'tweaking' to get the best out of them. The Tikka is no more immune to this than any other rifle.
When you look at the Big Pig's group and compare it to the Tikka, I know you are all thinking, FAAAACK! the Tikka is no good at all! However, the Big Pig is FULLY SORTED! The rifle has it's own book on action torque specs, it sports a Harrel Tuner, and a trigger from God.
The Tikka is going to take some time to tune in. Playing with action torques will be next on the list, as will be the trigger work.
My 452 started out looking a lot worse than this and it shoots very well indeed. Rimfires are equal parts love and hate. And Ammo can really make you love and hate your gun.. sometimes in the same session!
Love shooting 10 round groups. 5 rounds is not enough of an indication imho.
