The new Tikka T1X Rimfire

I forgot to add the American Eagle 5022 pic. Interestingly it out shot Eley Cub in all my Rifles. Total garbage, not worth the packaging it was put in.

Anyone seen or heard of another round of Tikka 22lr 20” landing in Canada or anywhere for that matter

Not yet. The gun dealer still has or had several of the 16", I check occasionally for the 20". I need to handle one before I decide, my 452 Varmint is a tough act to follow since I already have it. I think the Tikka will be as accurate or better, but the CZ is an accurate, classy rifle with a sweet walnut stock out of the box. The Tikka stock is starting to sound like it's no more than a "wrapper" for a good barrelled action from the reports I've read.

Ya for sure I also have a cz 452 style and it’s great but the tikka is such a sweet gun I love my Tikka battue.
They had to hit a price point and I’m assuming the action and trigger will be great. Full disclosure I have already purchased a Tikka Varmint stock for it and if they made the hunter stock in a Monte Carlo style that would be here instead. Having a 22lr that is almost identical to my centerfire
Is just to good

An accurate description. However you can find T3V, SAKO take off stocks (composite or otherwise) that fix that issue for not a lot of $$$

I own a 452 Varmint, and the Tikka is easily it's equal. Put another way, if you only had the cash for 1 rifle, 452 vs T1x, I would buy the 452 for overall package and performance. BUT the 452 is no longer available, so I would have to give the nod to the T1x

When you are a rimfire enthusiast, the cost of the gun pales in comparison to the ammo, rest, bags, optics etc etc. It's all relative depending on the path you choose.

Sill love my wood stocks and blued steel!

I put my 20 inch, 22lr in a T3x varmint stock and give it a 9/10 for fit. The trigger guard plate sits a little proud of the stock, the magazine must be put in with some “authority “ for it to “click” into place. The barrel is free floating with the “Grand Canyon “ under it.

I think the T1x is very nice and I like how light it is. Very good squirrel rifle if anybody needs one. The 16” is nice and I wouldn’t sit and wait for a 20” model just for 4” of more barrel you don’t need. 16” is plenty of barrel for a 22lr. My 452 varmint tho would not be traded off for a Tikka T1x. I have the aluminum magwell and dip trigger parts in my cz 452 varmint and it’s my favourite sub 1000$ rimfire. I’d take it over anschutz 1400 series anyday.

Yes, but doesn't the new stock feel better overall? Yes a teensy bit of massaging with a jewelers file will help, but the gain in rigidity is worth the effort. My T3V was Drop in. Cannot comment on T3xV

The Grand Canyon look is growing on me (believe it or not) Good thing the stock is a dark color.

I plan to get ambitious this weekend and fill in the 'Gaps' inside the stock with some putty, see if I like the added weight or not. If I do, I will mix up some bedding compound and fill it in flush.

Kinney's carries DIP products -- but not the entire line. It may well be that, when DIP makes a rail for the TX1, Kinney's will make it available -- although with the delayed delivery of the .22LR's in North America there may be less demand for it in the immediate future.

What follows here is simply my opinion and should not be taken as anything else.

Yeah I have been in communication with DIP over the last few months, in fact, they just contacted me a week or so ago and asked for my shipping address to send me a 3D printed version of the rail to confirm the design but they didn't realize they had been talking to a CDN, so unfortunately they had to source out someone local. They did tell me though they are hoping for between 30-60 days to get something on the shelves.

Is that an fx scope with a 40 mm objective if so let me know what you come up with as I’m using the same scope on my Tikka
I pre purchased some Warne high rings so I think I’ll have tones of room
