The new Tikka T1X Rimfire

Not a word. I've been checking the Gun Dealer web site fairly regularly. He still has several 22LR 16" in stock, no 20" in either calibre.
Since I discovered it uses a similar barrel system to the CZ 455 I've lost most of my interest anyway.
 
For me when i saw that cz wants to come out with the 457 and use the same barrel system of the 455 I lost interest. The tikka T1x u have seems to be rock solid and shoots great!
 
Tikka t-1 .17 hmr

So got my .17 home yesterday.
Mounted wth vortex 4-12 crossfire 2 and a 6 screw one piece base and rings (custom can't remember brand)
Cleaned and to the range today.

10/10
Trigger is great
Smoothed even more on bolt operation after 100 rounds.
Took a lot of time with cleaning and shooting breakin. Might not be nessisary but what can it hurt.
Note it was fired at he factory as evidenced by carbon.
1/4 inch ish at 5o yards
Cold n raining and windy
I suck at pics on is site but I'll try.
Tried 4 types of ammo Hornady 17 and 20 grain and CCI 17 grain and Federal 20 grain
CCI 17 grain came out best for this rifle. Best results a scooch over 1/4 at 50 yards
Checked that the action fit in a 308 t3 tactical stock...perfect. I'll shoot it next week hopefully and report back and maybe figure out the picture bs.
Recommended buy for sure
I also have a Remington 541 and a short barrel T bolt a tricked out ruger 10-22 and this out of the box is a winner.

Now there is 2 listed , the last one listed is with a plastic camo stock and he wants $1200 for it. I wonder if there is anyone stupied enough to pay that kind of money for a $650 rifle in a $300 or less take off stock.
 
600+ posts in this thread, a large percentage of which are hand-wringing about how long it's taking to get these, who in the world has them on shelves, why did they get them first, where is mine, look at all the accessories I have already bought...so, yeah, I'll bet these sellers will find buyers who NEED to have one RIGHT NOW!!!
 
I have had mine paid for in full now for aprox 6 months on a preorder .....still waiting:( and not too happy to see others walking into stores and buying them off the shelves.
 
The 22lr, 20 inch is as scarce as hens teeth. The .17 seems to be a little more available around the world, the Aussies are still waiting for 22lr

Nice....the guy is making money dumping old stocks he tried but could not sell for $600........plus time spent to install them ;) bahaha

I had to check this out...and, to be fair, that price includes a scope. I don't care enough to check into what that optic or that extra stock normally sells for, but at first glance it doesn't seem particularly excessive for the package. Maybe somebody with a bit more skin in this game...i.e. a pre-order-er :)...can dissect his offer a bit more. :)

the scope is 165, gun is 749, if the stock was 250 as a takeoff... not all that out of line
