The new Tikka T1X Rimfire

I see the walnut-stocked 16" is gone from the EE. As some of you mentioned, the asking price wasn't so far out of line as to be ridiculous. A nice Hunter stock (if you can find one!) on the EE is at least $200, many sell for more than that. $650 for the rifle. Add the scope and rings, and tax to hold it all together with. Someone with loose purse strings that can't wait to get a T1x would be tempted to make an offer.
The Irishman in me wouldn't be interested, but that's just me.. 👀
The camo-stocked one at $1200 should be a harder item to sell.

So I’m reading a forum in Australia and it seems like the company that distributes the guns around Australia is actually someone you can find out info from. They seem to know how many are landing and some even claim to know what stores are getting what and when. It would appear that 500 Tikka T1X have been shipped to Australia. I would assume that if that number hit Canada it would make a pretty serious dent in Canada’s preorder market.
Any ideas who we can talk to I’ve had no luck with stoeger.
Or the store northern precision who I have ordered from.
Tikka is really no help.

He last email I got from wolverine said their next shipment should cover off their back-order. That email was probably a month ago now and they seemed to be hoping that new rifles would be showing up monthly. I’m trying to be patient. I’d love to shoot a grouse with my .22 before the season is over.

Any Idea if tikka will be coming out with additional variants like cz does? Would be really cool to have one with a long barrel and match sights.

Since I discovered it uses a similar barrel system to the CZ 455 I've lost most of my interest anyway.

It’s a way better barrel system than CZ. See the accuracy reports on rimfire central in the states

Before deciding if it is like or better than the barrel system of CZ, has anyone actually removed the barrel to see if it is in fact user removable?

With a number of TX1's in the hands of shooters, one would think the question can be answered.

The question appears to remain, is the barrel user removable? Has anyone taken the barrel off?

I’m surprised no one has posted much in the way of reviews on here yet.

I did a small overview, but have not gone shooting since. Posted a few groups. I am sure others will chime in with theirs soon. I do know that I will be spending more time sorting my shooting stlye and experimenting with the Tikka.

Action Torques, Ammo, Tuner, Holds.

It produces a better than average group for a box stock rifle. But next to my 'sorted' rifles, it falls short. That is however unfair. My 'sorted' rifles took time to find that sweet spot, and as yet, I have not had the time needed to wring out the best the gun can offer.

Feel better?

I have had my T1X since Halloween, but have been busy bowhunting, work and family. My son and I are thinking a range day might be in order this sunday so I may try to get it out then. Will post pics and reviews if we make it out.

Re: the T1x and other Sako/Tikka delays. Tikka & Sako fans, we hear your frustrations loud and clear. It’s not news to anyone who loves Tikka & Sako that worldwide demand for the T1x has far and away exceeded expectations. The factory is working at full capacity to fill orders globally. We appreciate and share your frustrations regarding shortages of the T1z and other coveted/ popular rifles.

To clarify some misconceptions – we at Beretta Australia do not take the deposit for your orders nor do we get paid until rifles arrive in dealers shops. To combat the manufacturing shortage, we are bringing guns in by air freight as soon as they are off the production line and meet Sako’s quality standards. This is our choice and is at considerable cost vs the usual transport by sea freight. As fast as the guns arrive in our warehouse, we get them out the door to dealers. Temper your frustration with the knowledge that Tikka never compromises on quality to produce their rifles faster, and Beretta Australia is on your side.

If you are confused about where your order is, please contact the dealer you ordered from. We cannot provide ETAs, and we cannot guarantee that product arriving is for your specific order.
