New Ithaca M37

28 gauge is the only gauge besides 12 that makes sense to me, allowing for a substantially smaller and better handling gun that still has somewhat of a useful payload.

It's just too bad that ammo development hasn't been all that great, although there seem to be more choice now than in the past.

I'd love me an Ithaca 37 28 gauge!

Might as well just buy a 20 as shoot a 3” 28ga in my opinion? There is only 1/8 oz difference in standard loadings in 2 3/4” between the two to begin with.

Might as well just buy a light 12 gauge and shoot light 12 gauge 2 3/4 inch ,in my opinion.:)LOL

I hear you but way more 16ga users I think left hunting with one vs 28ga
Most 28ga left are just shooting skeet with one
Cheers

Not so in my area Mac.Do not know of any one shooting a 16 gauge, but do know of a few,now mind you, very few,who do use the 28 gauge in the field.:)

Quite fond of my Ithaca Model 37 28 gauge as well.:)

Folks. Any of you fellow 28 gauge Ithacas encounter extraction issues with Challenger shotshells??
Seems it's the only ammo I regret purchasing.

Anyone else ??

No problems with my Ithaca Model 37 28 gauge extracting Challenger shells.

While running the skeet program at my local range i see alot of guns have issues with challenger and cheap winchester loads. From the cheapest turkish guns to high end berettas and blasers.
