Might as well just buy a 20 as shoot a 3” 28ga in my opinion? There is only 1/8 oz difference in standard loadings in 2 3/4” between the two to begin with.
I hear you but way more 16ga users I think left hunting with one vs 28ga
Most 28ga left are just shooting skeet with one

28 gauge is the only gauge besides 12 that makes sense to me, allowing for a substantially smaller and better handling gun that still has somewhat of a useful payload.
It's just too bad that ammo development hasn't been all that great, although there seem to be more choice now than in the past.
I'd love me an Ithaca 37 28 gauge!
Folks. Any of you fellow 28 gauge Ithacas encounter extraction issues with Challenger shotshells??
Seems it's the only ammo I regret purchasing.
