The new Tikka T1X Rimfire

Do you anticipate little difficulty getting the T3 Hunter stock to fit the T1X?
From the description above, it sounds as though the fitment issue is the same as with the B&C stock I tried, i.e. not enough room for the width of the magazine box. If that is the case, a wood stock could be relieved sufficiently in very little time and with almost no effort. The aluminum bedding block in the B&C presents altogether more of a challenge.
not going to lie........that is my stock trigger.......thinking that I may have got a good one because this is abnormal.....all my years of pulling Tikka triggers I can honestly say I have never, ever, felt one like this from the factory......beginning to wonder if Al is playing a joke on me and installed my spring in the rifle before he shipped it
Funny you mention that; the trigger on my T1X is probably the worst Tikka trigger I have ever felt. Not horrible, mind you, but heavier than, and not quite as smooth as, any of the several T3's I have owned over the years. I haven't played with the adjustment of it yet.

Sure like what your CZ kit did in my 455.
My T1x should be in my hands on the 4th.

so back to the Tikka trigger, all I did was back out the trigger weight adjustment screw until it made contact with the big bolt that holds the trigger to the receiver. I tried to remove the big bolt but I swear it's loctited in and I am not about to add heat to break it free with the new found trigger weight set at under 1 pound, it's clean and it's crisp and it's weird.....it really is haunting me as I have never experienced this and I wouldn't be lying if I guessed at installing over 500 Tikka springs over the years.......pinch me because I am dreaming......I need you guys to adjust your trigger weights and report back.....stat
It’s relatively minor fitting, it’s just that the Varmint fits so well and gives such a good cheek weld I might sell the hunter stock... but it would look so nice, I don’t know...
As a guess (didn’t look close) I’d say 1/16” or 1/8“ each side needs to be removed, easy job for a dremel but you’d want to brace it somehow to minimize cutting. But because of the grain being weakened the stock might not be good for heavy calibers if you aren’t careful. I’d go for a t3x hunter if looking for one, but that might have the same problem, I don’t know

I was checking out the T1X trigger this morning. The factory spring at it's heaviest, had a trigger pull over 4 lbs. 2 oz. With the adjustment screw out until it contacted the trigger housing holding bolt, it had an average trigger pull of 1 lb. 13 oz. I tried a lighter spring for a Finnfire II, which appears to have the same trigger. With the adjustment screw out as far as it could go, the lightest trigger pull was 1 lb 6 oz. I then tried an even lighter spring and achieved a 1 lb 5 oz. pull weight but there was no tension on the trigger blade when the rifle wasn't cocked and it could "rattle" a bit . I tried the trigger without a spring and the results were exactly the same as with the lightest spring and again the trigger blade was loose. It might be that Tikka (Sako) has modified the trigger so that it can only go so low. In any case, there may not be a great change that can be achieved by swapping the original spring for a lighter one.
I seem to recall getting a lighter trigger pull on a Finnfire II that I had as well as with a TX3. My recollection may not be accurate, but if it is perhaps the manufacturer has modified the trigger so that it will only go so low, beyond which it doesn't make a difference. I had this experience with a new Anschutz 1710. I changed out the original trigger spring, which gives a 2.2 to 4.4 lb trigger pull, to a lighter one but could not get it below about 12 - 14 oz. Without a spring that Anschutz trigger had the same trigger pull.

Stick to SK and Eley, I narrowed it down to these 2 pretty quick, it want's to settle in, just having trouble getting her there, couple hundred rounds through the barrel today, not a single feeding or ejection issue to report, it ran flawless in that regard, it just seams to be picky about ammo thus far. I don't cheery pick or endorse, not even after the vortex rep offered to pay me off to say I like their scopes.....
