I may go that route. I see youre a fellow Winterpegger! Is there anywhere in the city youd recommend for cutting the barrel down to like 26" and installing remchoke threads? Only one ive seen so far is tactical ordnance's website but theyre in Ontario.
In my experience it will be cheaper to buy a barrel from BassPro.
I am not advocating you buy from BP as they are not a site sponsor, but by the time you find someone to cut your barrel to desired length and measure the wall thickness and then cut threads for some choke tubes you are going to be in balls deep territory.
Someone (couple guys) has asked what your intentions are on the use of this gun.
Feather fowl, the clay pigeon game or Winterpeg Mosquito Defense?
Also, another question is why do you feel in necessary to be cut to 26 inches?
Search the EE and by that I mean go to the shotgun forum and the sub forum for shotgun parts and type in Rem 1100 and see what comes up.
Reliable in Vancouver, Elwood Epps in Ontario and a whole list of other site sponsors will be glad to answer your questions and sell you a good used barrel or a New one for less money than what your going to spend customizing your current 30 inch full choke.
But, the first question any store worth their name will be asking what are your intentions for this firearm.
Best Regards,
Rob
