Single stack magazine would feed strait wall cartridges better, like the long ,, 458 lott. Always indexing the chamber , centered, as opposed to on an angle from a double stack blind mag. 4 plus one!!! Great.
I would want a well supported magazine well , and a strong mag. Release.. .

The grey Mcmillan Remington XCR is in 375 H&H cut to 21"
The bottom is a Remington 700 Custom Shop in 416 Rem Mag cut to 21" as well.
 
Mine are rather buried. Have a Model 1917 in 416 rigby, by deceased Yukon gunsmith Charlie Peeling. Wears a Nikon Monarch3 1-4x20, and a Bevan King barrel, with brake. Apparently i am not the only one to continually mess with trading scopes. Charlie didnt have any rifles he considered worked up for accuracy, so i have a 416 rigby used to take a Dall sheep. Heavy rifle with a giant stovepipe barrel.

My other is a Rem 700 lss in 375 rum, it needed a brake as well. Barrel trimmed to 25" plus the brake, just to keep it from being too long. I haven't made a trip up north for about 10 years, so this one lost the title of first out.

I also have a 338wm Bar. Found a company that converted these to 416 taylor. In the states of course, and iirc the conversion was $1800 usd, and a 338 bar donor. Never did the conversion, probably never will, as the 338 Bar was for a birthday ending in 0.
 
Mine is a Rem 700 LSS in 375RUM I had the barrel shortened to 21" installed an NECG front sight glass bed the action set the trigger to 3lbs scope bases are two piece Leupold QRW.

I mount a XS Sights backup tall Weaver ghost ring sight on the rear scope base when I'm packing it for animal defense loaded with 350gr @ 2450fps, a VX3 1.5-5x for defense/thick bush hunting loaded with 300gr @ 2800fps and a VX3 4.5-14x40mm loaded with 260gr Accubonds @ 3020fps when I'm taking 500 yard shots.

Same rifle....described it above.....didn't dock as much tube. I traded for a identical rifle in 338 rum....then moved it right along. Except i swapped the timney trigger into the 375rum.

Jeeez, those are some nice rifles. Are you a gunstock maker? I really like the finish of these walnut pieces, these are a work of art in my point of vue.

Weatherby Mark V in 378 Wby. in a b&c stock. Barrel has been shortened to 20", added a second recoil lug and cerakoted the whole thing. Wearing a VX-5 1.5-5x but I'm stil considering having irons installed. Not as pretty as some here but it's handy to carry and nigh on indestructible. Surprisingly pleasant to shoot to
