KEL TEC CMR-30 SEMI AUTO RIFLE NON Restricted on sale 599.99USD in Canada

Been shooting mine a fair bit, one problem Ive run into is with the Winchester super X 40gr, first round off the mag will fail to extract and I have to use my pocket knife to pop it out, then it usually feeds the next nine fine. All the other ammo
I have run through it has been fine. I gave it a good cleaning and lube with frog lube( not to heavy) but still hangs up on first round, I wouldnt mind so much but I have 1200 or so rounds of the winchester.Anyone else run into this?

2 of my 3 mags seem to consistently have trouble picking up the second round. The mag that came installed seems to be flawless. I've been told polishing the magazine follower can help.

To sum up:

  • The CMR-30 fires .22 Magnum ammunition which is still a rimfire type round.
  • It can have a 16" barrel and be non-restricted as it is not a semi automatic centerfire rifle (rimfire ammo)
  • But it is restricted because it has a telescoping stock that allows it to be fired below 660mm Overall Length
  • IRUNGUNS has manufactured a Non-restricted versions by pinning? in spacer blocks into the stock that prevent it from collapsing to below 660mm.

So its a semi-auto rimfire rifle, that can't be fired when it is shorter than 660mm thus it is non-restricted. Other retailers may have restricted models which have a fully collapsible stock.

No nothing???

I'm going to keep bumping this until locked or irunguns cares to reply.....
Lots of people asking for frt# and no answer and lots asking if or when there will be more... a simple quick answer on both would be nice

We submitted a request in the 3rd quarter of last year for a NR FRT along with a number of other firearms. We are currently awaiting this FRT along with a number of others.
Rimfire rifles are governed by total overall length not barrel length a stated in the criminal code. The rifle with the stock collapsed must exceed a length of 26" in order to be Non Restricted provided it is not what is considered an AR variant. This rifle meets that criteria.

As alot of Kel-Tec products are currently in high demand and short supply we are working at bringing in more stock, we will advise everyone when they will become available.
