Yes, as I said, useless for MY purposes.
PCC is a division in a competitive sport (USPSA and IPSC) where literally milliseconds decide the winner, for the person who said it doesn’t make a difference in the podium you are flat out wrong, I would NEVER compete with sub par equipment (no flared magwell for example), one botched reload at speed your entire match is over, this may include having spent thousands of dollars in travel costs and match fees to a major event. I personally compete in such competitions regularly against the best in the world, so yeah no magwell absolutely does make a difference in the podium.
Here I am holding a PCC rifle made by MBX at the 2017 USPSA National Championships held in St George Utah, an event I spent over $2,000 to attend compeating against the best in the world, note the size of the bolt on flared magwell.
So while you may have your purposes and enjoy the rifle, as I said for MY propose (high level competitive shooting) it is useless, something obviously not understood by some here, thus the explanation.
I know a lot of people in the Canadian competition circuit trying to use them for this division, that is where my comment stems from as we have PCC division in Canada and people are trying to move away from restricted AR-15 Pistol Caliber Carbine rifle platforms into non-restricted options such as this, I’m saying without the bolt on magwell it IS useless for that competitive purpose.
Note I did not say the rifle is useless, I quite like them and would consider buying one today if there was a proper aftermarket magwell available.

I see matador arms makes a 9mm brake threaded 1/2x28 but I can't seem to find one in-stock. Price is reasonable
Don’t waste your money on that brake it doesn’t work in my experience. A hydraulic buffer is where I would start first to reduce felt recoil.
That’s a good question laker415 and one I plan to learn more about through personal experience but in the meamtime what I’ve found is that it is a pretty contentious issue.
On the one hand we have minimal gases from our 9mm pcc to make a muzzle break actually do anything so some say fughetaboutit. On the other hand you’ve got companies like MBX, JP and Lone Wolfe putting time and energy into designs that they claim do the job.
I guess we’ll see as guys try some out on the FX-9 but I suspect these entry level pccs aren’t going to show much in the way of results like the fine tuned comp guns would. My plan is to first play with my loads to see how light I can go with CONSISTANT results and then maybe fiddle with the spring and buffer ( in tiny increments ) to see if that contributes to faster follow ups.
I suspect that a few thousand rounds downrange of solid rapid fire double taps will be required before I’d even now the difference so Ima start there.
Here’s what others are saying on the subject :

didn't know such a thing existed
You are wrong. World IPSC PCC Championship is to be held in Czech Republic 2020
I will be there but it won’t be with A FX9

Are you using factory ammo Or reloads? Is it the PCC CMC or regular ar15 version? From what I'm hearing is only timinny is recommended by wolverine because of light primer strikes with other brands.

That makes 500 rounds total through it with only 1 stovepipe total. All 500 round have been bottomshelf dirty american eagle/re manufactured range crap/steel winchester stuff
I want an indoor range like that in my basement ... minus the posts which would get all shot to rat####.
What are you guys doing for sling setups?
