BCL102, Is there happy owners??

I got a 2nd Gen I think with bout 800-1000rds though it now runs fine if you can wait on getting one I’d suggest getting one on Black Friday, last year it was as low as 1200ish new and with the price adjustment it might be lower this year. Tho I admit if you can afford it stags not bad either I got the kit from irunguns during the Canada day sale all pretty laser engraved stuff. But bcl still my go too probably cuz I don’t really worry bout beating around with it

Why wait? BCL102s go on the EE for 1000$. Not a great investment for those who pre-ordered, sadly...

Yes, very happy with mine. Yes I do own one.

Please bear in mind that some of the negative posts come from people who have never owned a BCL102 but are posting because of things they have heard rather than having any direct experience. There have been some problems but I suspect that many result from the poor pre-order process, less than stellar initial response to problems, lack of lube, poor running in, lack of firm holding, ammunition, magazines etc.

As far as I am concerned there are many good deals to be had on the EE right now.

Yup, still happy.

BTW I paid more for the Scope then the rifle, but such is life :)

I love mine. It didn't shoot standard nato 7.62 well, as can be attested by another forum member, but it shoots handloads well. Fairly stock save a new trigger/grip/stock. I'd like to pop a new barrel on there someday and see what it can do. Otherwise it runs like a top. She's a heavy one, #27 off the line from the very first run, owned it from new.

I chuckle at the posts where it's "BCL102 is garbage" and whatnot, but for every thread about the BCL I've seen, there's one for the Stag with quality control problems, but it seems convenient to ignore those!

Ya I know had I know maybe I would have held out on pre order but what can you do now, on the bright side at least it has a lifetime warranty. In an ideal world I would have liked the bcl lower cuz I liked the Ambi bolt release function with an stag upper with forward assist, i realize that would never work but that would have been great.

Have you actually read and compared the posts? Because the Stag issues are quickly handled, for example:
https://www.canadiangunnutz.com/for...rk-(help!)?p=15902087&viewfull=1#post15902087

...while BCL ignores emails, has no phone number, keeps peoples rifles for months, ships people the wrong replacement parts, closes down their customer service/warranty department for a month, restructures the company multiple times per year and continues to stick to an ejector design that is flawed and causes problems. Worse than that, they used paying customers as beta testers and continued developing the rifle after units had shipped. The value of the rifle has tanked by almost 50% from the pre-order price. And they have the balls to continue to advertise a new product, the Badger, while they haven't even fixed their last one.

Granted, the Stag-10 had a couple issues with loose gas blocks but Arms East immediately repaired every single one. There are no wide spread issues like the BCL ejector issue; no design issues. The Stag-10 is not a compatability nightmare like the 102 is, at least not any more than any other AR-10.

Anyone who knows anything about AR pattern rifles knows there will be issues with both rifles due to shooters who are new to the platform. These are the first AR pattern rifles to make it into the hands of the hunter types who never took their RPAL. They are running the guns dry and totally unfamiliar with the platform. No one is holding that against the 102.

You guys can pat each other on the back in this thread discussing how awesome the 102 is as much as you want (great example of confirmation bias) but you have no right to compare the minor Stag-10 issues with the absolute nightmare of the BCL-102 ejection issues, the horrible customer service, non-existent warranty and the loss of value faced by those who pre-ordered.

I would love to support a Canadian manufacturer, I hate that BCL screwed this up. But I've shot both rifles side by side and there is not even a contest...

Got a Gen 1 set up with a nice Vortex scope-totally love it! About 500 rounds in, no problems. Liked it so much I got another one that I shoot with irons. Keep it clean, keep it well lubed and it’ll work great.

I love mine! gen 2 have even shot CQB with it a number of times :D only complaint I have is the charging handle failed... other than that I'm probably around 1000 rounds of Hirt and other types of ammo and hope to take it hunting this year :)
