I prefer 'security by ignorance' - If you don't know where my guns are stored, they are harder to steal.

‘Sweeping Gun Ban’

“The source had very specific information that Prime Minister Trudeau wants to announce before the fall election campaign a sweeping gun ban on hitherto legal firearms,” Clement told TheGunBlog.ca.

The plan is to order the mass confiscation by Cabinet directive without a vote in parliament, Clement said.

“I find this very concerning and not democratic,” Clement said.

Trudeau’s plan is to announce the mass confiscation at that women’s conference in early June, where New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinta Ardern will be present, Clement said.

Blair Responds

“I just want to assure this House that our government remains absolutely committed to taking all the measures that are effective in keeping Canadians safe,” Minister Bill Blair replied to Clement today in Question Period. “And as I believe every member of this House will agree, there is no greater responsibility for any order of government than the safety of their citizens and the protection of their kids. We are prepared to consider whatever measures will be effective in doing so.”

Blair is wrapping up an examination of mass confiscation aimed at lawful gun owners. All firearms are banned already for anyone without a firearm licence.

The Prime Minister’s Office, Ministry of Public Safety and Blair’s office didn’t respond immediately to a request by TheGunBlog.ca for comment.

I've said it before, and I know how irrational it sounds, but they aren't taking any of my property. I'll do time on principal, but these Nazi's will NEVER lay hands on my hardware. Certainly under such blatantly false pretenses. It's actually almost a gross feeling to see what kind of lies and BS they try and use to back any arguments they present. It's pathetic really. But I swear on my kids heads, they won't see anything of mine. I am self employed, and my family is well looked after. I can run my business from prison.

Yes and no with a touch of maybe dusted over this. The only records we keep for NR are tax records which requires a RFI from the CRA to obtain or a warrant that is specific.
I will not go into detail as to what info we keep or how it is coded etc. but suffice to say it won't be easy for anyone to figure it out.
Restricted are a whole different thing, we have to record info in a government owned book that they have access to on a whim if they choose.

To me, in reading C71, I think the libs want ALL firearms transfers in that 'goverment owned book'... they are pushing to put through open ended legislation that somehow isn't labeled as 'a long gun registry' but seems like it will accomplish the same purpose. That's typical 'progressive' change the name tactics.
 
They are not going to get my stuff either! They want to turn us in to criminals over night? That’s not how our democracy works!

You seem knowledgable......so... I have a question. Who.... in all of Canada... does one person(in all of Canada) talk to in order to get a reasonable response?

Does anything matter if not spoken about in masses?

These, for lack of a better word, morons(politicians) seem to be the only ones that are capable of reasonining and bringing problems(or non problems) into light.... at what point can we(Canadians) tell the governemnt to #$"! Off? Civil war?

The brainless monkeys who do the bidding of the dirty politicians are equally as guilty. Without cogs the machine can't function. Those mindless order takers play a large role.

I've left jobs over being asked to do things I thought weren't ethical. And those things were not even close to as serious as being asked to go door to door and potentially use violence to steal people's property in the name of the rich & powerful. Seriously, those doing the knocking need to get real jobs.

People seem obsessed with getting prohibited licenses. You realize that if you do get a prohib class license, that only applies to the gun you already owned that became prohib.. you can’t go out and start buying ppk’s, snub noses etc..
