Any 9.3mm (.366) hunters out there?

It's for sure nice to see some "fresh" and IMO well thought out ideas for 9.3mm like above in this thread.

To me it is a welcome break from the praises of second hand, shot out used offers from some vendors on here.

Indeed! Abundantly evident big hurt over Trade Ex.

Those tradex huskies are awesome. Better value than my custom m70 for sure.

Roger that, and there’s nothing wrong with either rifle.

I love my Stiga from Tradeex. Planning on using cast for hunting with it this fall, N.O.E. mold.

Look forward to hearing your report.

Though I agree on why not own a couple outstanding rifles rather than a safe full of production guns, 9.3s are actually the cheapest group of medium bore hunting rifles thanks to Tradex. Vye for some of the cheapest overall. Ammo is ammo, if you’re into niche stuff you handload or ought to.

Yes Sir!

Here is IMO something a kind of unique/interesting. It's built on select 98er actions, 18.5" barrel and available among two other calibers in 9.3x62. They are being used in European drive hunts and in Nachsuche mostly while tracking wounded boar.

Well...now I know what I'm going to do with my 26" Shaw '98.

That looks like a nice little 9.3X57 I’m aware of. It drives 286 gr Normas well past 2200 fps. Thinks it’s a ‘62.

Ted

Most likely you were not aware of it because it's a 9.3x62. It's also available in 7.92x57 and .30-06.

Personally my interest shifted from HVAs with glued on flip-flops to something more sophisticated like pictured above. But hey, to each their own!

You’ve got a real likeable personality

Is it just me or is the rear sling swivel in a very awkward position on that rifle?

It wouldn't be too difficult to make something like that on the hogs back stock zastavas tradex has in at the moment.

you carry it differently more like biathlon rifle. when you are on your 4 four into deep brunches as only the wild pig can do when wounded.

I'd have to shoulder it but the swivel seems like it could dig into your shoulder a bit.

Anyone know who makes the rifle?

Doing one up with a set of battue sights on the recent run of zastavas might be cool.

I bought a lovely Husky in .366 Wagner from the man himself (Hi Ted!) a few years back and I've used it for everything since. Carries great, easy to reload for, and I like the recoil much better than the 308 or the 30-06. Yes, it has some recoil, but it's a shove, not a crack, and for whatever reason I just like it better (even off the bench). 250 grain TTSX, have yet to recover a bullet. One cow and two deer so far. :)

Funny you mention this Today-

im off for a Deer hunting trip this coming weekend and im a bit stumped on which Rifle to take, all this talk as i posted above gets me keen to get my 9.3 out there.....
So i grabbed a couple 250gr RN loads and took a few shots out of it .
Im a bit of a pussy with Recoil but my problem is Anticipating the recoil.... when i put my head down to it, the 9.3 isnt a Big recoiler that knocks you around...

i shot it pretty good today... now to flip a coin between the 303 and 9.3 for this hunt.. to acompany the 375BB
