One thing to keep in mind:
With a flat top continuous railed AR, you want that 1.46 to 1.5" in height from bottom of mount to the middle of the ring. 1.5" is preferable. Anything less and you will have issues with the bell on larger scopes. Also this puts your eyes at the right spot when you bring the rifle up. I also like to have the scope as close to the rail as possible ie to the barrel for less offset. However, if your rings are too low then you are looking down and your forehead goes down/forward which makes your eyebrow go much closer to the scope. On bigger calibers this significantly reduces your eye relief and is a good predictor to guess someone will be receiving "scope bite". Plus frankly it's uncomfortable trying to conform around the rifle to get the right sight picture.
