Picture of the day

I disagree, every cat I ever had tried it's best to be a dog.

Independent cats usually just don't get as much attention as they would like.

Come to think of it .... I've had two cats that I actually referred to as my "dogs". One liked to chew on bones and t'other was as loyal as a dog, doting on pet-pet.

Try that if you're a human and someone of a higher rank will make it their personal mission in life to destroy you and everything you love.

That depends.

Point taken - posed photos are doubtless done with official sanction. :) But would a casual stroll down the length of the tube be asking for a screamin'?

Interesting the difference in traditions between services. Arty guys are a little fetish-y about the Sanctity of the Gun, what with the royal cipher on the tube and all. The thought of a gunner scootching his arse along the barrel would give the RSM all the justification he needed to make said gunner a very unhappy person for a length of time measured in months, if not years...

You do know what Winston thought of "navy traditions" being just "rum, sodomy and the lash" correct ??

Yeah, heard that one. Sounds like a great weekend to me. :)

Supermarine Walus K5773 was the second prototype.

Also a film star. Here we see her in a video about catapult launching:

I didn't know the cats were cordite powered. Must have made something of a bang on use...

I can't find any reference to what happened to K5773 in the end, but I don't imagine she's been preserved. I don't believe very many were, which is a shame. For a 1933 aircraft, she did very valuable work during the war.
