700 loaded casings are full of crap !! how to clean???

Why are you even firing this ammo? This could end very badly considering how incompetent this person has proven himself. Don't fire anymore and get a refund.

+1, don’t fire this garbage
Disassemble it and use the brass and bullets for future reloading
Your just asking for a kaboom

At the risk of repeating myself...

I suggest you send a 10 round sample of his ammo to NARCAN and make a complaint and explain your concerns.. Ask them to test the ammo.

Their pressure gun will take 100,000 psi. It might need it....

My revolver is brand new. Less than 300 rds through it.

So? New guns have issues too sometimes. I've got a rifle that won't reliably set off CCI primers. I just use federal in that rifle, no issues with them.

IMO you're crazy to actually fire those unless you're behind a wall and pulling the trigger with a string...

Now factory ammo is no good? So let me get this straight. The gun stays the same, the ammo keeps changing but the problems continue and you still refuse to even acknowledge that you might have a gun problem? Didn't someone already mention that the gun might be the problem?

Also, I've never owned a Chiappa, so take this with a grain of salt, but could it be a gun problem? Have you tried the ammo in another revolver?

Narcan is given to people who OD on opiates. NRCan is who he is looking for. I have helped him find the right people there through PM but I'm not sure if he actually reported him.

I've had the revolver checked out. Looks like the internal hammer is F&%ked. Apparently it's a known problem?
FFs.

The hottest loads fired from this gun was the blazer brass .357mag gold/black box ammo.

Well considering what you went through you can't be certain of that. A load can produce massive pressure without high velocity. Best thing to do is just not say anything about it to any warranty center.

I am amazed you willingly fired this guys loads after opening them and seeing they are weird yet again. Are your hands and eyes of no value to you?

Chiappa...not known for stellar quality.

It's for sure my last Chiappa purchase

I'm not the only one who inspected these loads. A much more experienced reloader in my bullseye league has helped as well.
He was certain the powder level was very close. And some burn tests were done first. Though never did figure out the exact brand of powder.

From here on. None will be fired. Almost all have been broken down for components now.

I can think of several shotgun powders that look like little flat circles, but none that would be 15 gr in a 38Spl.

The two slowest powders I have used in 38 are 2400 (11gr) and 4227(14 gr). 4227 is a rifle powder and is extruded, not disks.

His comment "this is a faster burning powder," is very troubling. If a lot of powder is used, it should be a SLOW powder, not a faster one. He does not sound knowledgeable.

And ask the loader to be specific in telling you what powder he used. Maybe it is some kind of rifle powder.

Judging by the picture of the powder, it looks like a power I have. I have 40 pounds of powder that is the sweepings from the bench and floor of the Dillon that has loaded 500,000 rounds of 308 ammo. The powder was supposed to be disposed of, but it was kept in jugs marked "sweepings". It is a mixture of various ball and extruded powders running in the speed range from 3031 to RL15. I ran the powder through a window screen, to filter out the dead primers, bugs, nuts and bolts, etc and now use the powder for my own plinkers.

It looks to me that your loader buddy may be using his sweepings to load ammo he sells. It looks like a mixture of ball powder and flattened ball. Stop him, before someone gets hurt.

You were correct. 2 Different powders. One even had 3 powders or 2 and some sawdust.

I got a response from my report. Said they would call him and tell him to stop. And there was not much else they could do.

Wow, I was under the impression it was actually illegal to do what he did.

It's against regulation, but not a criminal act.

NRCan can do more than a phone call, but it takes efforts. If he actually has a licence (pretty sure he doesn't), they can revoke it. If he doesn't, there are multiple ways to make him stop, but if a phone call works, they're gonna stop there.

On a side note, I'd like to tip my hat to OP for his courage. I would never have shot one of these in a conventional firearm. Actually, the only reason I would ever buy doofus reloads would be if they were priced less than components, and I would use only the components to make my own rounds (minus powder, wtf knows what the doofus put in there).
