9mm PCC of choice for ultimate reliability and battle type use.

My latest addition - the HK Universal Machine-Pistol .45. While not a bad PCC, it wouldn't be my first choice. That heavy bolt slamming back and forth with the straight blow-back operation results in some pretty disruptive recoil...

Had an Fx-9 for a while. Put 2500 rds through it with the only hiccups coming from raw steel cased ammo not liking to load.
I've heard nothing but praise from their reliability stateside as well.

Takes a lot of AR parts, but receivers are proprietary
Proprietary parts seem to be available direct from freedom ordinance in the states... For now.

Out of all the pcc carbines I have owned I keep two handy first is the Beretta Storm have two one in .40 that I will not part with and one in 9mm that just listed in the ee and I have a jr carbine takedown version also in .40 that has been flawless with everything I feed it and is a very accurate rifle I prefer .40 over 9mm even in my pistols I would be interested in trying the new ruger pcc in .40 but they seem like unicorns up in Canada and not looking good at getting one before the ban comes

Recently got a NR Freedom Ordnance FX-9 - so far so good. Reliability has been excellent. 10 round Glock mags are a plus. The trigger is a little heavy, but I'll be installing a CMC drop-in this weekend. Its too bad we couldn't get the HK SP5!!

Indeed.

Much too dangerous for us poor peasants.

Love my CX4 Storm, Sub2K and Ruger PCC. But here is the latest Princess. Wears a M&P Pro with all the Apex goodies. 3.5lb trigger pull, 1/10th inch reset and is accurate as the shooter can shoot. It will soon have my PPQ M2 5" installed. Downside is I can't take it into the US due to barrel length and stock. It runs afoul of SBR rules. Reliable, accurate and allows for 10rd mags. I should really get a 92A1 Adapter and pick up a 5/30rd fun stick for my Beretta. I have the Glock sticks for my Ruger and Sub2K but they both carbines just don't have the look. I just can't bring myself to buying a G17. The Kidon Kit/MP Combo does what I need to do out to 50 yards for IDPA.

It's a quality gun to be sure. Can't speak for anyone else in PCC land, but for me it comes down to these:

- between 8" and 10" longer than my Aero when taken down, so it won't fit in a daypack for hiking into the woods to shoot on crown land without sticking the barrel out and alarming other hikers closer to town

- 5 round mag doesn't bother me so much, but 10 rounds is more funnerer, as it were

That's pretty much it. The CZ made my top 5 list when shopping but the length with the stock folded being still so long prevented it from making the final cut. Such is life for a Vancouver guy.

why would anyone buy anything else than a cz evo scorpion is beyond me at this point.

is it the 5 round capacity thing?

Pretty much. 5 rounds is a huge buzzkill, especially for 9mm. Of course this only applies to people who don't have the few AKV mags that got imported by one LGS before the 33 round magazine import restriction came into play. If I got my hands on one of those I'd have a scorpion evo already.

Put a Serra papa trigger upgrade on you the cx4 and get a couple mag couplers for the Scorpion and you’ll have yourself a whole lot of fun. The S/P upgraded doesn’t make the trigger perfect but it’s night and day on the storm and the couplers allow you to run 10 rounds through the scorpion really fast while giving you the BATTLE experience Lol. My 2 cents.

I just acquired a CZ Scorpian Evo 3 Carbine. The gun, in the pistol configuration, is in use with the Czech Army as a sub gun thus it IS Military Grade. This gun would be my choice of a gun I would run off to war with if I had to go, using 9MM. Right now the gun will have to be happy to play 2 Gun locally. LOL I would expect this carbine to be as reliable as the other PCC's I own. (Ruger 9MM PCC, Beretta CX4 Storm and Sub2K). I have never experienced a FTF/FTF in any of the guns. Here is the new girl just waiting for a few parts to arrive, trigger, grip and some internals and a Vortex Crossfire2 red dot.

One issue if you compete should be considered. Any PCC with a barrel length less than 16" falls under the US NFA. Carbines with barrels shorter than 16" fall under the Act and require a "Stamp" that is not available to Canadians even on a short term basis. If you want to shoot USPSA/IPSC PCC matches or IDPA PCC Division in the US your only choices would be carbines with barrels 16" or greater. PCC competitions have really taken off in the US and are growing here in Canada. If you don;t compete or don't plan on competing in the US the topic is a non issue.

B&T GHM9-G

Your scorpions are dinner.

I completely agree, if most guys actually had the opportunity to try both, the GHM9 or better yet the APC9 would kill the scorpion, no question, but most guys haven't even seen the B&T's yet alone try them out. Better controls layout imo too.

If it had to be NR, I'd say the fugly cx4 storm.

I would go with the Storm as well, but for it's marginally worse trigger than the stock Scorpian I own Fortunately there are spring kits that easily solve the problem. Both the Storm and the Scorpian are bought by the Military/LEO in either their semi auto or full auto dress.
