The 760/7600 Club

This doesn’t seem correct I had two at the same time, one with iron’s the other scoped. Decided I didn’t like the platform and sold them both, I posted them for about 750.00 and they took a while to sell.

And they were carbines?? Did you buy them new if so where
Cheers
Bit of history / past conversation on them

The .35 whelen carbine in 7600 with wood stocks was never produced for resale as a normal remington production gun in North Americia.
They were produced by remington in dec 2004 and it part of the famous or not so famous lot 25150 which was a substancial order manufacturered by remington in .35 W wood carbines for overseas, jlock, monte stock???.Could never find out exactly where they were slated for overseas but were in english boxes.
However some how six yes six guns out of this lot got misplaced and never made over seas but showed up almost 2 years later in late 2006 If I recall correctly with two regular remington stock orders in canada. The BS stories about them ordering them special from remington or a group of special ontario dealers got together in canada and placed a small order of these for a show is just that BS from what remington told me at the time.

One showed it's head in the maritimes which is still here well greased and never fired in it's original box the the other 5 showed up at Elwood EPPS.

Two of the five went immediately to one buyer, which has since parted with one I found out, one to another ontario buyer who is a site member here and still has it and the others different members own here also.

They sold new at epps in one day for $689.

Regardless you have two super rare guns there.

I know of 3 in carbine in my area, two walnut, one synthetic.

Very possible on the wood ones since they were originally sold in Ontario at Epps
At one time we knew who owned four of the six but god knows now
Also now thinking about this it would not be hard for someone to put a wood set on a syn over the last 16 years to make it worth more money if a buyer didnot know the original six serial numbers that came up here
Cheers

The two walnut were bought brand new but not from Epps.

Interesting since Epps got five of the six originally that came to canada by mistake other one came in down east
Per Remington . Around 2006??

Unless they were part of the Grice special order state side in 2011. I don't know if any of those made it here
I bought my 7mm08 then state side
Regardless very rare and not $750 guns used
Cheers

Nope ,had one of the originals from Epps and foolishly traded it on something else that has long gone down the road . Thought this one would be a good replacement but..... I have a rifle version as well and prefer it to the carbine.

I remember you did.
Back then
Another member TK bought two, and sold one to wk
I had one and whb had one
Cheers

Wasn't aware of the 358, got 25-06, 260,7mm-08, 35rem Carbine, 280 Carbine, and 308 Carbine.

You have a real nice collection
Due to my age I have parted with many of mine in the past five years
The one that hurt the most was a 760 with the basket weave BDL wood in 223 cal
I looked a lifetime for that puppy but it is in a real good home so all is good
Cheers

the carbine 35 whelen version was made for France. will it be wood or synthetic version. the french remington rivolier can provide a battue sight for the carbine version also.
