Which one? SAKO 85, Benelli Semi R1 or Weatherby

Darryl

Just to keep you updated, I tried to contact the Peterborough guy I mentioned but he is out of town until early next week. Will talk with him when he returns and let you know.

Are you agreeable to add the following to our rules of engagement? "The R1 must not fire any of the ten 3 shot groups larger than 3" at 300 yards."

Oh, so we're changing terms? He wouldnt be off bearhunting would he?

Changing terms?

What if the first group is a 1/2" group? why bother firing the rest of the 9 groups?

If you are going to change terms, both of you shoudl change them- A win for the R1 is a 1" or less group at 300, a loss is no 1"' groups or one 3" or greater group...

Or just stick to the original terms, one 1/2" group at 300, ten groups to be fired.

who f**king cares, this is more lame than the 2 guys on 24hr campfire who were going to fly across the US to meet each other for a one group shoot-off for like $20,000

Well buddy, you will probably get some different answers here, except mine. Here you go...

I think they start around $3500 for a base model but whats that Benelli R1 with comfortect going to set you back??

My R1 Argo (slightly used) in 300 Win mag was around $1,400.00 before taxes. Ellwood Epps has them for around $1700 up to over $2000, well worth it IMHO.

The Barrels are removable like shotguns, and are interchangeable with new bolt heads, and Magazines in several other calibers.

Nothing wrong with a Sako though, but I prefer semis. :)

I really could care less... I just like the idea of a new gun for free. Because semi's are apparently incapable of good accuracy...

It'ss be so sweat eh?

sweat or sweat·ed, sweat·ing, noun, adjective
–verb (used without object) 1. to perspire, esp. freely or profusely.
2. to exude moisture, as green plants piled in a heap or cheese.
3. to gather moisture from the surrounding air by condensation.
4. (of moisture or liquid) to ooze or be exuded.
5. Informal. to work hard.
6. Informal. to experience distress, as from anxiety.

Gud grummar buhddia.

Im a tool eh? Glad I got under your skin... I've shot plenty of good groups at 300, whats one more?

I dont own the rifle, and could care less... Assumptions are fatal, and your assumption that a factory rifle is incapable of a half inch group at 300 is funny, and you can sit behind your computer all you want and call BS, but.... Those who say its impossible are being surpassed by those who are doing. I think someone made a call to get that rifle back again, so care to add an additional wager should the rifle be available?
C'mon petey??????? Your local, and can come and watch...
I promise to arrange the special bus for you... :D

Stop making full of yourself.
If you don't care what the whole fuss about?
What do you want to prove?

And surely, if you interested, get yourself that hunting 1/2" 300yr semi rifle and call me, I will bring my Sako (Factory not mods) and we can have some fun, what about that?

Wholesale sports sells the R1 for around 1450 - 2000, depending on model. Interesting to note though, this is one of those guns that is quite a bit cheaper in the US. pricing around 950 - 1400. I wonder if Questar could help you out with that??

I guess I better get one of those R-1's. Cause in Ontario all we ever use is Semi's. ;);)
