tps50701- This is a hidden rule most people dont know. If you talk about your guns and brag you have them, you must prove it by posting ###y pictures of the guns :) Welcome to the forum.

Thanks for the welcome.

I don't brag about what I own. I'd gladly show anybody my toys. I used to use them in the army - so you know that you just gotta own em!

I kinda miss my job in the army - Wpns Tech Land 421 - 14 years and oh so many rifles:(:(:(

All the best, Carl

I've got an Ishy as well that's not in the pic.

Here's an overall old pic of my 8L series and most of the kit that goes along with it. As was issued with it when I did my basic back in '78.
c1kit1.jpg

Instructor lesson plans. PAMS. Grenade and launcher. Dummy/parade/test rounds on charger. 30 round mag and bra. Cleaning kit and tools. Magazine mandrels and forming tools. Vehicle rifle rack. AN/PVS 502. C1 Sniper scope. Bayonet. Webbing (ya the set that doesn't have any mag pouches:rolleyes: Who came up with that idea?) Muzzle cover.

If there is anything I'm missing and someone wants to get rid whatever it is, please let me know:D

I don't have a C1A1 unfortunately, but did manage to snag a minty Israeli FN when they were still non-restricted.

Note the C1A1 sling

Neat collection! I remember most of that stuff - just the 82 pattern webbing though - no dinosaur issue!:D

Whose great idea was it to issue webbing with ammo pouches that dont hold the issued magazines? Not even we did that! Oh wait yes we did once, trial webbing issued to us for an operational tour of the Falklands, set up for the L85 and we were still 2 years away from being issued it. They couldnt understand why I refused to take part in the trial!

I don't have a C1A1 unfortunately, but did manage to snag a minty Israeli FN when they were still non-restricted/prohibited. I just never could get myself to sell it even though I can't shoot her any more. (f$%king C68)

:

The problem is acutally C-10A not C68 as such.........

Wish me luck next Tuesday!! Maybe all will be well.

Depressed

Saddens me every time one of these threads pops up, was issued an fnc1 would love to own one just for the memories but sadly will never be allowed.
Could turn this into a rant about government and anti's and the waste of it all but I think that I will just sit in a corner and cry

Our combat shirt pockets were used to hold the mags. one per breast pocket and two mags in the cargo pockets, was a ##### running. We used to stuff the mags in the gas mask carrier, only problem with that is stealth was not an option. Everbody had their own way of carrying them.
